The weekend

Haven't done too bad on the excercise this week. Yesterday was more of a lazy day for I overdid it on Wednesday and was just to sore and the ankle hurt. I did get in my league bowling and at least avergaed out. Only got 16 minutes in this morning on the threadmill but that is better then none. We have a basketball game tonight out of town. A big game to see who leads the conference. Then on Saturday they will play a non-conference game in the afternoon.

I keep saying I will not step on the scale but once a month, but temptation always wins out when I go by it and I have to see what it says. It hasn't budged and I get fustrated but getting use to it so will not let it bother me. The age things is so true about not being able to lose when you are older. But that doesn't mean I will give up. Have to look up and see what I can do that will change things and make the scale move again.

    I know we talked about it before, but have you started any strength training yet? I think that will make a huge difference for you.

    I weigh every day on my Wii Fit, but since I'm not consistent about when I weigh and what I'm wearing except on Tuesdays, the number varies up and down. I need to get on it and do some vigorous working to just warm up!

2013 is not good so far

Boy, so far I don't like 2013. I had a problem with the bank and had to go get that straighen out this morning. (Their mistake) Then while gone I got a call from DH that the microwave stopped working. I hope the third thing was Harriet passing away. They say everything comes in threes.

I ran off my spark peoples goal setting sheet and will put it where I see it every morning. I still need to take pictures or see if DH will take pictures of me to post. It will show how far I have gone and what I have to work on. Hopefully by the end of the week I will have them posted. emoticon Zumba was a good workout on Sunday night and can hardly wait for Wednesday night.

    My 2013 start was rough too. I had good intentions but my mind and body had different ones!! We are all on the same page now and things are moving in the right direction. My goals are on the fridge and I am working on them daily. Maybe it started rough, but it will turn around. Just keep working on it, never quit!!!

    I hear ya on having a bad start to 2013. Sometime last week I accidently dropped my electric shaver into the toilet. I had it charging but it fell off the cord that it was charging on. Plus a few other bad things. Too many to list. Hope that the rest of 2013 goes better.

Weekend almost over

Boy, the weekend is almost over - where does the time go. Haven't done much. Walked my threadmill yesterday morning but other then that I have been kind of lazy. Today is church and then Zumba tonight. It is that time of year that things get boring around here. Money is alittle short so can't do much right now. We have ball games this next week on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday so that will be my entertainment for the week.
It is only 3 degrees here this morning, after the warmer weather it is a shock again on the system. But like DH says "it is Iowa". I am kind of down in the dumps and some stressed so really have to watch myself on the eating and moving. But feel I have learned to control that part.


I need to read this on my wall and keep motovating myself. Maybe I can make up another and get pictures on it of myself. Time to leave the past and move on to healthier and brighter things in my life. Don't let the winter blahs get to me.

    Love your inspiration board. Money is short at my house too. My main entertainment is computer, TV, and family. Also cooking and doing my Wii Fit stuff. Need to have friends over for meals. It's nice to be with friends and do stuff that isn't breaking the bank. My son's soccer doesn't resume for at least a month so sports are quiet around here right now. But I do love getting out each week to see him play and to see my soccer mom friends.

Wednesday 1/9/13

If you want to feel better, just take the time to go thru your closet and drawers. This morning I did this and had to get rid of of lot of stuff. Tops and what few dresses I own are all too big. Then when I went to the drawers that was really a good eye opener. Come summer I will be in trouble, my shorts are all really big, so putting them in a sack to go out to Crystalis. That is a store that the handicap school runs. It helps them make money and gives jobs to some of the kids that live there. So my day has started out with a smile on my face, knowing I have come a long way.

Time to get to the threadmill yet this morning and then Zumba is tonight. They are saying rain and ice tomorrow which I do not look forward to. Then snow on Friday, it will be a mess. So better get my running done today and funeral is tomorrow.

I am reading a book now of Gabrielle Douglas. It is really good on her young life and how she got to the Oympics. If you like biographys it is a book to read.

Breakfast was some scrambled egg starter and Kiwi fruit. Now to get the rest of my day going.

    Excellent suggestion. I did so and felt wonderful. Then I took a few bags to a Goodwill Sale at the local department store and got coupons for new clothes!
