First off thank you to all that has sent gifts to me. Thursday will be Harriets funeral and they are talking rain and ice. I haven't been sleeping too well for everytime I close my eyes I just see her as she was that last day. So I have gotten out a picture of her so I can see that and remember her that way. It has helped. I know that I am getting my eating problems resolved because usually I would turn to food as my comfort but not this time. I have been on the threadmill every morning and Wednesday will be Zumba again.

Eating right and not stressing out about what I eat. That is the big goal to concer. I have found Emergen-C in raspberry and orange which is good. It is a powder that you put in water and gives you Vitamin C, electrolytes, and other vitamins. It seems to perk me up. It says to put in 4 to 6 oz. of water but I do my full 8 oz. for a lighter favor. I have also added a fish oil pill that they say will do you good. So hoping a healthier new year is in store.

    I am taking omega 3 capsules too. Sorry about your friend. As we go along in life, we have these sad episodes occurring more and more frequently. I visited my parents yesterday and was thinking about how they are getting older and are so precious to me. Also feel blessed that all their siblings are still alive, but I know it won't be long before that won't be true as one is approaching 90. My step-mother's sister has been diagnosed with Alzheimers and my Dad was telling me about how having her in the house was a real wake-up call as to how poorly she's doing mentally now. I don't have any wise words for you about your loss, but I know you are coping as best you can. emoticon

Sad day

Seeing my 94 year old yesterday twice was hard. She passed asof this morning at 6. She is at peace now and with her dear husband. It is a sad day but so glad she is not suffering anymore. I will be heading to church soon and will say extra prayers for sure.

Tonight is Zumba, and I will be so happy to go and work out my saddness. It is much needed today.

    I admit I really don't get death - we know it is inevitable for all of us, and I wouldn't want my loved ones to grieve so much as appreciate my life, but still, we struggle with the empty place they leave! I am glad she is at rest.

Weekend of basketball

We had a game last night and now going to head for Clear Lake for another game. I got a call this morning to go have coffee with the girls at Cabin Coffee. So joined them and had a Chia Tea with skim milk. My cheat was part of a cinnamon roll with one of the girls. It was a fun time. I don't get out with just the girls that offen.

I will have to try to watch close what I eat today now because of the roll. But have learned not to stress about a little cheat. They say you should give yourself at least one cheat a week to keep yourself in control.

Sunday afternoon will be Zumba again, so can't wait to get at it and burn calories.

Zumba started back uplast night and it felt so good to be back at it. Today was house cleaning and still have to get on the threadmill. I just feel so energized after that work out. Bowling league starts tonight and then Friday the basketball games start back up. It will be fun to watch the grandson play again.

My DDs birthday is the 25th and we are going to meet in the Cities and go to the Twins Fest to help her celebrate. So that is the one thing to look forward to this month. I will only be working on Tuesday at school to help out for the rest of the year, of course I am sure I will be alled if any sickness happens.

Finished up the Christmas ham by making scallope potatoes and ham for supper tonight. I plan on having fish (salmon) and lots of veggies. I better get going and get my threadmill done for it is almost noon.

    I don't know if I'd like Zumba although a lot of people rave about it. I have two left feet. I tried a cardio video with Coach Nicole, and she has me jiggling and hopping. I couldn't do it. It's good that you are doing a lot of different things and don't get bored.

I'm on my way

I have started the new year well so far. Ate healthy all day yesterday, got my threadmill in , and a collage made to hang over the threadmill. I also texted my daughter and told her I would text the 1st of each month and give my weight to her. That will keep me honest and someone to report too on results. She said I was looking good but would be there for me and write it on her calendar when I was to text her. We have no plans on trips this winter but do have tickets to see Don Williams in July. So goal is to get to the 160s by then. We also are thinking of a bus trip in October to the Smokey Mountains, which I have to get busy and get reserved. So really want to be fit for that one.

As you tell I am a morning person so always caught up with all early in the morn. It is now time to get to the threadmill, so all have a good day. Zumba starts back up tonight so can't wait to get started again. emoticon emoticon
