Monday morning blues

Monday, June 11, 2012

I was down in the dumps after weighing in Sunday. I just can't get this flab to budge. Still I know I have to keep working at it. I think the excercise is what is holding me back. I will go in again on Thursday for another shot in my back. So when we go on our trip , it won't be hurting while traveling. Hope it works this time. Dreading it but know I need to do it.

OK, pitty party over and time to get moving. Salad luncheon at the church on Thursday so need to get some salads made. I was suppose to work but now had to back out, so making a few extra salads for them to make up for it. Ball games every night this week, grandson is doing great. As a freshman playing on varsity team, everyone is impressed with him. Tomorrow I am helping out at school again for the free lunch program. It is going over well.

Another beautful day out. Have been going to many ball games and getting lots of walking in. Trying to push more water and bought some cauliflower/ cucumbers to get more veggies in. Hip and back is bothering me some again so waiting for a call from the doc for another shot in the back. Don't look forward to that but want it done so I can enjoy our trip the end of June.

I walked the treadmill yesterday morning and late afternoon I walked to the ball park (about 1.5 miles) to watch the baseball game. My grandson hit in the winning run so it was an exciting game. As a freshman he is playing varsity ball and doing well. When I got home I went to bed but then woke at 12 and had a rough nite the rest of the night. Took tylenol but it didn't take hold till about 4 in the morning. Couldn't believe I then slept in till 9 am. I usually rise by 6 or the lastest 7. But guess I needed it.

Summer school has started and I am going to work a few days here and there and one is today. It will only be for two hours and easy.

Beautiful Saturday

DH had a golf tourney today so I was kind of down wondering what to do. Got my washing caught up and then ran out and bought me a new purse that I needed bad. Came home and decided I need to move or I will snack. So got my mp3 player and headphones out and took off walking. Walked all the way up town thru the park and stopped to buy a ice tea to drink. DH called and said they were almost done so come join them. Told him where I was and that I would walk there. So I covered about 3 miles at least. Join them at the course. He ended up winning $125 he did so well. Also won a month free at Curves and some tools. So a good day for him and a gift for me. Going to run up to Minnesota tomorrow to visit my nephew at his camp site so hope this great weather is still here tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend and the new week will bring us joy and loss. emoticon

She has crapal tunnel so intime will have surgery. No plans this weekend for the DH is in a golf tournament all day Saturday. Thinking about running up to see my sister in Rochester. She had a knee replacement done about two weeks ago.

I got on the treadmill in the morning for 20 minutes and some work on the ball. In the evening I needed to do something so got onthe treadmill again for another 20 mintues. I am trying to eat oatmeal in the morning for I feel it sticks with me longer. I eat lots of fruitbut need to push the vegtables more I think. emoticon emoticon

Good for you with the exercise!! As for veggies, I think you gotta find the ones you really like - I love baby carrots and those little fat snap peas - raw. They are crunchy and sort of sweet. They're good cooked, too. I found some very tiny green beans I like a lot - more tender than the regular, lean beany. Once I settled on veggies I always like, it was easier to be sure I got 2-5 servings! Hang in there!!! emoticon
