ME time

Well I have to say that this week was my me week. I usually don't do much for myself but I did this week.
To start off the week I meet two new spark's great to have things in common.
Monday I took the day off just to relax....I normally don't take much time off of work. I went and got a was well worth it.
Tuesday & Wed were normally days for me I got my workouts in before work and then went to work and came home and spent the evening with my hubby and had a glass of wine. Need the wine after maybe my co-workers could use some cheese to go with their wines!!!LOL
Thurs..did my strength training in the morning and 60 mins of zumba in the evening...After my zumba class I got a phone call from one of our foster children asking me if my husband would be willing to walk her down the isle for her wedding....of course he said yes..(her father had pasted away, that's the reason for her asking)
Fri...was another day off got my workout in and then went to the chiropractor...need to get my adjustments, after that I went and had highlights but in my hair ( I have a picture in my gallery) and my hubby took me out to eat...Love when he takes me out...
So that's my ME week

    Sounds like a great week! My highlight was lunch on Wednesday with a friend to celebrate her birthday. We ate at a new Thai place. Tried to stick with healthy choices, a hot soup and eggplant salad, it was good.

time to update

WOW I haven't updated my blog for a long time...I have to say that i'm still doing my workouts and tracking my foods. I have for the most part staying within my calorie range but somedays I do go over...I haven't been losing any weight but have been maintaining so that's a good thing.
I know to loose the weight I need to lower my stress level. Working with children all day does that do you...but mostly it's the co-workers that I have to work with that like to make trouble.
Well need to fit in a workout yet today and make time for my hubby.
Time to watch some more Christmas movies.

    My comment is more about the picture here....beautiful dress! Maintaining is a good thing...that's what I've been doing too. I get frustrated sometimes because I feel like I should be losing but hey, it isn't all bad staying the same so we'll just keep plugging away trying to learn healthier ways to deal with the challenges. Right?

    Consistency is important. It sounds like you are doing that with the tracking. I have also been staying within the same 5 to 10 pound range. I know I need to change up my exercise if I am going to get under that any time soon. I committed to walking a couple of extra days with a friend. It's not a lot of miles, but it all adds up!

I hope you are getting to enjoy the holidays as well. Sorry work is causing you stress.

2 days until my son's wedding

Wow can't believe my son is getting married in only 2 days. Today I want to relax but I have lots to day...we're have the wedding rehearsal dinner at our house, it's going to be a cookout with a pool party. Today i'm going to start getting some of the salads started and set up the tables. I also need to get the chicken marinated.
Now does all this count as a workout?? Well if not I still plan on going to my zumba class tonight, it's our last session for the summer. I going to miss my group until fall.
Tomorrow it's pedicure day for my future daughter-in-law, my daughter-in-law and my will be great to just relax for a bit before everything starts.
Well now I just need to get started with everything. I promise to get pictures posted as soon as I can.
Next week i'm off to California for vacation, it will be needed after this weekend.

Memorial weekend

Well not a good start to a long weekend...I went to urgent care this morning and tested positive for strep.
Put I still did a little outside work, but not to much I just got tired out to fast. I'm hoping by tomorrow I will start to feel better and can enjoy all the sunshine.
I'm also hoping to get back into all my workout routines... I have been working out by not to my full potential.
I still need to at least go for a little walk yet this afternoon and try to enjoy the rest of the day.
Well hope everyone has a safe weekend and don't do anything that I wouldn't do!!!
