Restarting Insanity

Monday, December 10, 2012

So tomorrow I restart Beachbody's Insanity program, as well as more regular cycling. I will also be doing a very low calorie diet which I will also log here.

My husband is a marathoner so I would love to eventually be able to join him doing that as well. :)

Day 2, 2:30pm

Tuesday, July 24, 2012

Craving meat like nobodies business. Especially something from that new Chinese place up the road...... *drooool*

8:30 breakfast

10:30 parfait (had to leave for class)

1:30 shakeology

So far so good though today. Discovered adding almond extract to my yogurt makes it awesome.

Plan to have my dinner around 4:45 before class again this evening.

Adventures in the Sass Yourself Slim Strategy

Tuesday, July 24, 2012

Day One

8a.m. Breakfast Scramble with berries and almonds. Seasoned with garlic powder, turmeric, and hot sauce. Drinks included Coffee and Water

10:45a.m. Greek Yogurt Parfait with raspberries, blueberries, and a sprinkling of cinnamon and nutmeg. Drink: Water

At this point I had class from 11:30-1:00. Stomach grumbled loudly in class, but the hunger pangs weren't bad enough to distract me.

3:30p.m Shakeology shake. This is the one substitution I am making, since I have a metric ton of the stuff. Drink: Green Tea, Water

At about 4:00pm I began feeling ravenous. Stomach growling loudly. Getting very uncomfortable.

5:30pm - pot of coffee brewed, feeling much better and confident 7pm isn not an eternity away.

7:00p.m. Spinach Salad with berries, a hard boiled egg, and almonds Drink: Green Tea + Water

So.... despite the fact that I was positive I was going to raid the fridge around 4.... coffee saved the day and kept me satiated til dinner time.

Day 1 down!

bicycling

Tuesday, July 07, 2009

It seems I have finally found a sport of sorts I really truly enjoy.

Bicycling.

For a couple of months, my husband has been building his own road bike and has been taking some long distance rides with his friends. Well of course I want to join in the fun.... so about a month ago we bought for me a hybrid cruiser/street bike... as I've never ridden a street bike... I figure eventually I can graduate to a street bike and keep my cruiser for leisurely rides. :) I hope to trick it out with fenders and saddlebags and just give it some unusual character. Plus I LOVE riding around on it.

We've begun a tradition of riding 25 miles on Sundays to a nice little historic district and stop for a bike, then ride back. In this sweltering heat... it makes the ride that much more of a workout. Plus I'm getting a bit of a tan for the first time in YEARS!

So... lets hope I've finally found what will work for me! :)

I'm baaacck!

Tuesday, January 08, 2008

Well... the wedding has come and gone, and I never did lose all the weight I wanted to in time for the wedding.... but I think I still looked fab!

But just because I didn't lose before the wedding, doesn't mean I am giving up!

A new 24 hour gym has opened up right up the road from my home, so starting on Thursday (my orientation), I am going to go there every morning before work.

The trainer there also told me I haven't been eating enough... even though I have managed to gain 5 lbs since the wedding! (Dec 1). I've probably been eating 2-3 times a day... but snacking on these horribly delicious pork crackles we bought in the UK. I am positive they are the weight gain culprit. Thankfully we finished them off over the weekend, so they wont be there to tempt me.

I've already started adding more food into my diet.... and aim to include some fruit. I am down a pound since yesterday... but I am sure it is mostly water.

Wish me luck! :)
