Goals

Tuesday, June 25, 2013

I am looking at my goals today and I'm pretty happy about the ones I'm working towards and the ones I have set for the future. Right now I am on the path to getting my Bachelor's degree in Accounting, eating better and exercising, and saving money. I'm twenty-nine years old so I feel strongly about getting these things done now (well, within five years).

What happened?

Sunday, June 23, 2013

I stepped on the scale expecting to see results and instead I saw it pointing at 218, same as last week. Naturally, my first thought was, "What happened? I walked and rode my bike!" Duh! I didn't watch my diet at ALL! It was my son's birthday so I splurged there, my mom cooked last night so I splurged there, and my dad has been bringing home McDonalds. Now I'm excited that the scale says 218. If I keep up the exercise and stop eating so much I may see 125 sooner than I think! lol

Yeah I was a bit disappointed with the scale today too. I have been keeping up with my exercise plan, and did a bunch of cleaning yesterday and the day before, but splurged with meals both days. Just gotta keep at it and try to keep making improvements.

Be thankful in the goals that you do keep. You did work out, although you may have had a few " cheat" moments at least the scale didn't go up. Celebrate that victory, and do better next time. Good luck.

Stinky day

Wednesday, June 19, 2013

My car went in for an oil change and tire rotation this morning. Come to find out the tie rod end was so loose that it could have sent the tire up under the van and sent it rolling. Then the ignition finally went bad at the dealership (it's been threatening for over a year) and my main rear seal needs to be replaced. The good news is my mom is the warranty adviser so most of it's being done at cost and the rest my husband is going to do when I go home. So much for being a mechanic's wife, eh? I know he'll do better from now on at least. emoticon

Then due to the excitement I didn't get my walk or my bike ride in so now I feel bad about that, too. My plan is to walk twice as far with my son tomorrow and try to get my bike ride in if I can, but I'm not going to push it because it is my baby's sixth birthday. emoticon I'm already looking forward to the birthday cake and the long walk on Friday - seriously!

I think I know what we're going to do today!

Tuesday, June 18, 2013

First of all, kudos if you caught the Phineas and Ferb reference. emoticon

Second, my son and I are going to go on our daily walk in just a few minutes. Partly to be healthy, but also to get out of my dad's hair for a while. We only visit once or twice a year, but it seems like my son irritates him more and more every year. Which can be pretty frustrating, but at least I can use it as an excuse to get healthy and that is definitely a positive. emoticon

You and your son should keep this walk together up when you leave your dads!! Walking is SO good for you and it's also quality time with your son!!

Getting started

Sunday, June 16, 2013

Today my dad helped me get my old mountain bike out of storage and back on the road. I hopped on it and rode about a mile uphill and back. It totally exhausted me, but I loved it and went for a second ride after dinner. I'm hoping to go again in the morning, but if I can't I'll take my son for a walk. I am going to be healthy like I was when I was a kid!

I'm just getting started on trying to lose weight and be healthy also. I know those workouts are going to be tough for a while. Maybe we can be buddies? I love your background by the way.
