The pockets of jeans should not be 1/2 on your leg a shopping musing

Saturday, March 20, 2010

Well my jeans were looking kind of baggy making me look kind of heavier than I am so I went today to buy a smaller pair partially so I felt and looked better and partially to see if I could go down a size.So off to Marshalls I went.Tried on lots ever notice how the pockets on many jeans sort of sit halfway down your leg? Whats with tha?.I have a good amount of padding back there too plenty of room for the pocket to be..I mean I don't have a need for a pocket that gets stuck under my butt overhang.Back to the shopping. Next stop my fav the clearance rack!!!I found a pair of really cute levis they were a size 5 junior and were marked 7 bucks!!!! Talk about a self esteem boost. The first thing I did was look on the tag to see if they were an irregular LOL!!!!I have to say the tag said boot cut slouchy and they are far from slouchy for sure but it's okay cause the pocket is where it belongs and I have a size 5 pair of jeans in my closet.( I really do think that inspector 57 was having an off day and let them slide by but I won't dwell on it.Oh happy day!!

I did it!!!!!! Finally!!!

I jumped on the scale at 129.8 today ! I have not seen 120 prob since I got married almost 16 years ago.Now I just have to make myself not pull out that scale tomorrow.I was getting a bit discouraged as I had not seen a loss in a while my last weigh ins were 131 then 134 then 131 then 132 this went on for weeks!!! very frustrating..I'm pretty confident in this new number esp since I worked out hard yesterday and ate at the top of my range .I was expecting a water gain maybe. Thanks for letting me share with you all here at Spark.Anyone getting frustrated or impatient just keep at it one day at a time it works it really does.

Even with peanuts and beer

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

no food tracking and 1/2 as much exercise Mr.Scarlet still loses 10 lbs in 4 weeks .We are talking handfuls of peanuts and CHEESE!!! Don't get me wrong I'm happy for him but it's SO UNFAIR!!! that this comes so much harder for the girls.I'm pretty close to goal so my body is saying "Hey whats the prob with some extra cushy hips just in case there is a famine or you decide to have another kid even though you already have 5 of them.Ugh but you trust it and keep plugging along.I feel like Dorie in the Nemo movie just keep swimming just keep swimming.

I know exactly how you are feeling. My husband and I began our lifestyle change about 3 weeks ago. We have eaten the same thing, (I buy it and I cook it) except when he goes to breakfast or lunch with the guys and who knows what he is putting in his body. All he did for the first week was complain about being hungry and eat, eat, eat. I tried to explain to him that just because it says low fat or reduced calorie, you can't eat unlimited amounts. So I find myself keeping him "on track".
With that being said, at weigh in this week, he has lost 14 lbs, while I have lost 6. Don't get me wrong, I am very proud of my 6 but ITS JUST NOT FAIR!

Today I ran 8 miles !

Tuesday, March 09, 2010

OK I walked about 25% of it but still good after not being outside running since the fall.I have had heel problems when I run on pavement . Today, today was beautiful and the snow has melted off the canal towpath along the river so I went.I felt a bit Forest Gumpy and just kept going till I hit a large amount of snow along my route.I mapped it when I got home and it was 8 miles so far so good on the heel.It was great to be outdoors in the sun and fresh air.
