Running update.

Over a year since I posted here and a lot has changed. I have now run multiple 5Ks. I have come to the vast conclusion that I am not training hard enough though. So after doing some research, I am making Saturday my "kill me now" day. I plan to alternate between hill work and speed work. These are my weaknesses. I figure if I just run the other run days this should be enough to see great changes in my speed at races.

I have started losing weight again! This will also help, but they are in a symbiotic relationship. The more weight I lose the faster I will go. The faster I go the more weight I will lose. I also need to update my picture. Most of my rolls are gone!!

Did 50 minute run/walk this morning. I'm sore from my new workout I started yesterday so I had to walk more than I would have liked. Still got over 3 miles in so that was good. Anyone else using the Zombies! Run! app?

Transformation Day 1

Day one did not go as planned. I did make my run but I didn't do my dance dvd. I did eat well at my three main meals, but my snacking left much to be desired. All in all, though, I did better than I did last Monday so I will count that as progress.

    I say ditto on the one day at a time. It can be daunting to work out and eat right evry day when you never have wanted to so before so kudos to you for the things you got right. Consistency is key and thats what I'm trying do now so hang in there. emoticon emoticon

    I think it's a backhanded way of encouraging us to eat at home! Information for fresh foods and packaged foods are readily available. Not so much with the restaurant foods! emoticon
