Last night at the girls' softball game, my oldest daughter (age 10) was playing 3rd base and wasn't paying attention (as always) and got hit in the stomach with a ball. Poor thing. She claims that the wind got knocked out of her for a few seconds. Of course, I was in the restroom at the time & didn't witness it. My husband (who is one of the coaches) said that she was fine, but I let her sit out the rest of the game (1/2 of an inning). She wants to quit, but hubby won't let her. She is really the least athletic person in the world and I feel so bad for her. I guess I am an enabler, because if it were up to me, I'd let her quit. (I can't tell her that though, as I don't want to undermine her father.) She does fine hitting the ball, she just has no clue on defense.
My 8 year old daughter did great. She is a born athlete (probably 'cause she is adopted and has none of my pathetic genes - LOL) and LOVES to play sports. She is also in swimming and tennis this summer. She has reading help this summer also as she has dyslexia & is already behind her peers. She doesn't need a summer slump.
In other news, I am LOVING Wii Active!!! I only do 20 minutes a night (on top of my usual routine), and the weight & inches have started to fall off!! In less than a week, I've lost 1 pound, 1 1/2 inches off waist & 1 inch off of hips. It looks like I lost 2 1/2 inches off the bust, but I'm going to have hubby remeasure for me. I knew my boobs looked smaller, but that would be ridiculous. Spark asks for neck measurement. Does anyone actually measure their neck?!?! Where do you measure it at? Do necks get fat?
