Here are random things floating around in my mind today:

1) I think my abs might finally be getting better... i've been using the Wii Active more routines for the last week.... maybe it is working???

2) When we were in Kansas City, we went to the movies... The seats reclined & rocked & vibrated & were actually COMFORTABLE. Is this normal? I live in a small town, so I've never been to a movie theater like this before.

3) How do you prevent shin splints? My shins start hurting after about the 1st 10 minutes of walking lately.

4) Should I dye my hair a darker shade of brown?

5) Are York Peppermint patties good for you? They are so yummy & fresh!

6) I didn't enter my food on Sunday, but I ate pretty well (except the Cheetos). I'm still proud of myself for entering all of Saturday's food (even though it wasn't the healthiest!! LOL)

7) If you buy Metromint water, buy the Chocolate flavor.... it is the yummiest. Matt tried my orange one & said that it tasted like someone had spit their toothpaste into it.

It is amazing I can get anything done with all of the junk running through my mind!!

1) YEA!!!!!!! 2) Ours usually recline and/or rock but VIBRATE?? 3) Don't know...but they sure hurt! 4) Try it! I'm all about hair color experimentation. Haven't seen a whole head of my natural color since college....and EARLY college. 5) Better for you than a lot of other stuff! When I am "on track" YPP are my "splurge" at the grocery check out. 6)Yea!! 7) I tried orange (ICK ICK ICK) and spearmint (just ok). The chocolate? Really? Well, maybe, if you say so. Here are my random responses to your random thoughts, Claudia! 1) Woo hoo! 2) You must have been at a fancy theater! (Were you at the one in the Plaza?) I wouldn't say it's "normal", but probably not uncommon. 3) Shin splints are often caused by putting too much weight on the front/ball of the foot when you walk/run. You don't want to come down on the heel either when you walk (that would be painful and almost impossible.) Aim for a mid-foot strike when you walk/run, which takes some of the pressure off of the front of the foot, and therefore, the shin. Also, like Kat said, some stretching of the shin muscles after a walk/run is essential. 4) Sure. Why not? 5) Yes! Surely something so yummy can't be bad for you! 6) 7) I've heard the chocolate is GREAT! Report Inappropriate Comment

1). Yay! That's great! It's possible the Wii Active is working. 2). Not sure. Each theatre is laid out different. It's awesome you were comfy in them. I LOVE comfy movie seats 3). Maybe stretching?? 4). YES! Why not? If you don't like it you could lighten it up again. Change in hair color is fun! 5). Yes, they are VERY good for you. How can chocolate and mint EVER be wrong? Since inquiring minds want to know, here is the stupid story of why I am scarecrowiscool:

Before I first got a computer (in 1998), I lived in St. Paul, Mn and my sister, Emily, lived in DeKalb, IL. Mom & Dad lived here in Iowa. So, Emily & I hardly ever saw each other... we rarely came home to visit Mom & Dad on the same weekend. Well, after we DID actually see eachother, we were hugging & she said "I'll miss you most of all, scarecrow." from the WIzard of Oz.... after that, I was scarecrow.

When I was signing up for yahoo.com or something when I got my computer, it asked for a username. I tried scarecrow, it was taken. I tried scarecrow72, scarecrow1972, scare-crow, etc etc... everything was already taken... so i got mad & typed "scarecrowiscool" (scarecrow is cool!)... the computer accepted it!!

So, everytime I sign up on a website, I use scarecrowiscool because I remember it & it is NEVER taken.

Nah, it's not stupid at all! It's sweet. I'm MsSunBug whenever I get asked for a username because the year that ebay first came around (I was in my late teens, maybe 20) and I wanted to use it, my husband and father preemptively explored it and created a username for me: Ms. (for Ms., lol), Sun (because I worshipped it) and Bug (because I loved ladybugs, bees, dragonflies, etc.). It's so outdated at this point, but it's sort of stuck! This too is just never taken. :-) So, mine's silly too! But as long as it works, right? Report Inappropriate Comment

Ok, I set Matt (hubby) up on his own SparkPage. He is happy at his current weight, so he is doing this just to track his exercise. Matt always has some lofty fitness goal. Last year it was to climb to the top of a mountain (which he did). Then it was to run a 5k (which he did). Now he wants to train to run a 1/2 marathon.

His page is pretty blank right now... it doesn't look like he's done anything to it. I hope he ends up liking it as much as I do!!
