Quick update...

Friday, November 11, 2011

Tomorrow is my big day for goal assessment, but I also have family visiting and an early am meeting at work. I am super exhausted tonight and feeling like there is no time! I still need to practice ear training, plan a meal for tomorrow, stretch, watch a movie with my brother...I'm completely overwhelmed and sort of teary with fatigue. I know I'll get it all done and I'm giving myself a pass for tomorrow in case I don't have time to get in a thorough assessment blog, I'm going to allow myself to postpone it until Sunday. But on Sunday I'll also be writing a four page paper that I just now remembered is due...sigh.

Well, Sparkies, at least I'm here now. I can only do my best, but at least I know that, lately I am doing just that.

Having some sort of plan in place is wonderful! You sound like you have prepared yourself for the weekend, I know you will get through it all.

Quick Blog!

Thursday, November 10, 2011

Hello Sparkies! It's almost midnight. I had a long day, but am proud of myself for still being up and working on homework and Spark. I have a jam packed weekend about to fly at me, but I know I can handle it!

Had an amazing lunch of the Tuna Noodle Casserole from the SparkPeople Cook Book! Yumo!

Probably be a short blog kind of weekend, but that's ok.

I hope you all are well!

ForBande: It is amazing! I recommend putting your favorite veggies! I used butternut squash, broccoli, and cauliflower. I also used pepper jack cheese and parmesan instead of swiss, which was a lovely substitution.

OMG. Sajizaz. Do you know that that "mulleticon" is one of the ones that a certain man has been begging me to use? Like: emoticon and emoticon.

I'm not kidding.

He even made up a song "Muuuullleeeeet-icon - uhn uhn uhn uhn" akin to his "cherry pit bowl" song. -_-

I've been thinking of getting the cookbook and this blog might have just convinced me. I love tuna noodle casserole. =)

Have a great weekend!

Do you have any idea what this icon is? Cuz I don't. Maybe it's a mullet icon?

40 Days.

Thursday, November 10, 2011

I have blogged for 40 days. This blog post would technically be my 41st day. Wow.

And here is the packed lunch (actually dinner) for work tomorrow! I'm doing the 4 out of 7 days food packing challenge from my Live Meeting. And this doesn't look super appetizing because it's too contrast-y, but it was the only shot I got of it before I put it in the frige. It is the Tuna Noodle Casserole from the SparkPeople Cookbook and it is crazy good! I put my own mix of veggies and substituted pepper jack and parmesan cheese instead of swiss. I'm going to make it again and will maybe do a chicken version for my friends who don't like tuna fish. It's so yummy!

Swim tomorrow before work! It means I have to get right up and do it in the morning. :) But I can't wait to get in that pool and fly through my work out and feel so proud of myself. Every streak I have makes me feel so happy. I never realized that I could feel this good about myself when I still weigh 286 lbs. I thought I needed to be slim, a whisp of a girl, barely here, to love this body, but it's not true. I am perfect right. now. I am. I am precisely who I was meant to be. And I feel like I finally am embracing this body with joy and contentment. Maybe not 100% of the time, but pretty damn close...wow. I am thankful. So thankful.

Now our minds are one.

I'm here.

Wednesday, November 09, 2011

Blogging again. It's strangely comforting now. I look forward to it. :)

I also finally cooked the meal I have been planning. And I'm proud of myself for not giving up when time got away from me and I couldn't cook the meal I had planned. I said in a SparkPeople Live Meeting that even though I hadn't managed to cook the meal the act of planning it made me mindful of the choices I had to make instead and I made fairly decent ones consistently so this goal has helped me be more mindful.

Yay!

Good for you. So easy to get frazzled and not make the best choices for ourselves. I'm guilty of dropping the ball on myself and am working on slowing down and making informed decisions.

Well there is a very general and quick start of breaking down my goals. I believe that my new goal I will add on Saturday will be to review my goals and action steps every week and make sure I am working at them. I will add action steps to my Spark Other Goals every week to begin to get in charge of these goals in the same way that I have become fully in charge of my health and wellness. I feel happy. Even though there is a lot on my plate and I will have my work cut out for me, I know that I can accomplish everything here one small step at a time.

I was feaking out yesterday because I was so afraid of my future, but I understand that in the next few days I need to write down all of the things that are scaring me and make goals for each area. Then I can being the process of chipping away at the marble, revealing a beautiful sculpture, the shape of my life...And that makes me grateful to the Creator Spirit. Now our minds are one.

Do you have a place where you blog already? If you share the address here, I would read it. :)

You have a solid sounding plan! It seems well thought out and I will be praying for you to be able to achieve them.
