So, on my bucket list for the last year, a full marathon. I have to say, this one makes me really nervous!
This week I signed up for my first full marathon:
I have to say the final push for me was an article that the Asheville Marathon did on yours truly, if you would like to see it here is the link:
So with the final push, I talked it over with my family and my running partners, and I pulled the trigger and registered for the Richmond Marathon! Nervous, Yep! Excited,For Sure! Scared, NO DOUBT! Determined You Bet!
So the next phase of my journey for a healthier life begins, I have my last 20 pounds to lose, and miles to log for my first marathon! What a journey it is going to be!
Sassy (aka runnergurl) out!

Happy Sparkaversary to Me!
So this is about were I started 2 years ago, probably about 20 pounds heavier than this picture those same twenty I am still battling.
What a difference two years make not just in appearance but in my life.
I run who would have thought it will be 2 years in March that I started running, At that point I could not even run a minute without being out of breathe and feel like I was dying!
Fast forward to now: I am heading towards my second half marathon in just about a month.
I never paid attention to the foods I ate it did not matter it was nourishment of sorts I guess!
Now: I pay attention, I can not tell you really the last "junk" food I really ate, oh scratch that I can it was right before Christmas and the office had a pizza party, boy was that a mistake.
Than: Exercise what a dirty word
Now: I better or I am gonna kill someone, it is the best mood enhancer, best stress reliever, best feeling I can have!
Than: Size 26
Now: Size 10
Than: off the BMI scale
Now: Normal BMI
Than: Blood work all in the horrible zones
Now: Blodd work all normal
Still have trouble seeing the new me in the mirror, I still see the old me most of the time, it is when someone takes a pic that I see who I have become, and the new Sassy.
I have all of you my Spark Family to thank, My Diamonds you are truly the BEST inspiration, support, and friends a girl could have, My family for seeing me work through this journey, even when I get crazy!
I consider my self lucky, my aha moment came before it was to late and I get to live a whole new life!
So happy Sparkaversary to me and saying good bye to this last 20 pounds!

This is the blog I hate to write, the one that makes me think about the years goals, heck sometime I can not get past what I my goal is for the day! Making good choices daily is sometimes a goal in itself.
So here it is I going to strive to lose those last 15 pounds the ones I have been arguing with for the last 6 months.
Pick up my workouts again, granted I still run as I am training to for my next half and a full later in the year. However my overall cardio the one I do early in the morning has slacked. So I need to bring it back.
I need to track my food intake at least 5 out of 7 days a week just to make sure I continue to stay with in range.
On a non journey goal:, We sign papers on our new house on Friday, so a move is in store for the next month, something I always hate to do. On the positive side of it, it is a new start and a chance to clean out and start fresh!
So that wraps it up, if I can be successful in losing the last 15 I will be super happy!
However more than that if I can be successful in just being happy and not adding weight I will be happy as well!, as we are much more than a number on the scale!
