My daughter in law did something loving

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

A few days ago, my daughter in law went for a hair cut. It wasn't just a trim, she donated her hair to Locks of Love-----18 inches! From waist-length to shoulder---wow! I googled it to read more information on this organization and what a wonderful thing to do for children who have the misfortune of having little or no hair. She has made some children very happy. I had to post this, I am proud of her, that was brave.

It is an awesome organization..... and she is cool for doing that.......

I did it about 8 years ago, and i loved the feeling I had after doing that for all those kids who could use it.

    I agree...good for her!

I've been asked many times to do this, but just can't be as brave as your DIL. I worry about being bald and it not growing back.

Anyways, VERY good for her for doing it and having the bravery to DO it!!! God bless her!

Cucumbers are now growing

Tuesday, June 16, 2009

Here is the first cucumber! Besides tomatoes, that is another favorite to add to my salads.

I accidently posted the same thing twice, oops

Thursday, June 11, 2009

It looked like my blog didn't post the first time, you're not seeing double. Either the SP site is running slow or it's my computer, I'm not sure which. But anyway, thanks for reading either one or both emoticon

Our Tomato Garden

Thursday, June 11, 2009

Here is a picture of our tomato garden. I love to see the first growth of the season. We also have cucumber plants, but right now, it's just the blossoms. I can't wait for those. I love fresh veggies.

Congrats to you!!! We have the opposite problem from you -- we have picked 3 cucumbers but have blooms aplenty on our tomato plants!

Happy gardening!!

I don't like tomatoes but I must admit they do look very tasty growing in your garden. Thank you for sharing such a lovely photo it almost makes me want to go eat a tomato...almost!

Our Tomato Garden

Thursday, June 11, 2009

Almost a month ago, my husband planted tomato seeds and they're coming along nicely as you can see. We also have cucumber plants growing around the fence. No cukes yet, it's just the blossoms that we see. I love home-grown veggies, can't get any fresher than that. I get excited like a little kid when I suddenly see the veggies appear. When they ripen, I will post another picture. emoticon

Those look great! I had some, but we had a huge storm last night, and I'm pretty sure my poor tomato plants are in bad shape. I think I can bring 'em back, though! Good luck with all your gardening! emoticon
