Nell, it's not the change, it's thyroid medication issues. I'm learning that thyroid hormones affect EVERY system in my body...

Health update

Wednesday, March 19, 2014

Kind of bad news.
Monday I had to call in sick to work. So much pain I was throwing up. I have to wait for them to book an ultrasound. They think I may have an ovarian cyst.
June 16th I have to go in and have my cataract measured... looks like surgery on my left eye will be end of June. Right eye will be done 3-4 weeks later.

Excited, scared, anxious... all at the same time.

Loom Knitting Group

Friday, February 07, 2014

I started a loom-knitting group on here because there seems to be some snobbery towards it in the "regular" knitting/crochet groups. I wanted a place to talk about loom knitting with other people who are on the same journey to health and wellness.

Well, it seems we're either an apathetic bunch, or maybe we just have too much going on in our lives. Hardly anyone is posting anything, only one person other than myself has posted a picture of their work. I even posted a message asking what people want from the group so I can better tailor it to our needs (I've never run a group before), and two people answered me. Two.

Seriously wondering if I should continue with it.

Also wondering if it's getting to me today because I feel down today. Don't know why, just feeling a little blue. Oh well, tomorrow is my Friday. Just gotta push through it.

I'm just starting out with loom knitting and I hadn't a clue there was a group! I'll give it a look - you might have THREE! (Which is more than two - little steps?)

I'm not a crafty person, but I know you are and so I'd say, even if there are only 2 others besides yourself, it gives all of you someone to chat with about what you enjoy! In time, I'm sure your group will grow! Don't worry about the others as maybe they do have a lot going on in their lives. I used to cross stitch, but only a little here and there b/c I just didn't have time to do much at a time! Maybe that's all it is. Hang in there, gf! Enjoy the members you have! Y'all have a common pastime!
Sorry you are feeling blue today. Smile and breathe and count your blessings. Maybe that will help you feel a bit better. (((HUGS)))

Ooh yeah, Baby!

So, on Saturday, and again yesterday, I did over 10,000 steps, according to my fitbit. Major accomplishment for me.

Way to go!! I used to do 10,000 with ease, but since I got my Spark Activity Tracker, I'm finding how young I am no longer and how out of shape I'm in! I struggle to make the 6000 most days! Great going!! Keep up the fabulous work!! ((HUGS))

So excited!

Sunday, February 02, 2014

Today and tomorrow off of work! Woo hoo! I'm going to celebrate by taking dog for a nice long walk, then seeing if I can't get my Wii to work. For some reason it isn't working through the receiver, want to see if it works when directly connected to the tv. I need my Wii yoga!
