Sick...but I walked anyway...

By bedtime last night I was getting a mammoth cold. Slept only with aid of Tylenol Anti-Sinus (nighttime of course). 'Twas fullblown today. So no Leslie miles for me, I just don't have the energy. emoticon emoticon

I am pleased with myself for not overeating - I resisted the inner voice of my mother saying "stuff a cold, starve a fever" - and for getting a few things done in the house.

AND I just walked 1.44 miles - not very quickly, it's true, but I did them!
Hopefully tomorrow will be better! emoticon

Ok, does this count? I did START my first Leslie mile in the AM!
Maybe my slow start had something to do with the 2 LS miles I did last night, around 8:30 PM...
At any rate, my blood was flowing so instead of doing just one mile, I did all three!
I always enjoy the abs mile & after doing that one, the fast mile is not so hard.
Sweat sweat sweat - & it's hot outside & warm in - but now I can cool off.
And feel virtuous...

Leslie, why did I ever leave you? Well, I know why. Life got in the way one day, & then there are always excuses...
But there's no way to deny that one LS mile burns more calories than a regular mile walked in 15 minutes. emoticon

And I was doing so well until I lost it last night...with French roast ice cream...better than emoticon but still, not the best thing to eat at bedtime... emoticon

However, here is emoticon for the second time, ahem...
I really did enjoy doing this for a week, remember?

I want to make this part of my ROUTINE...my LIFESTYLE...ahooah!

Did the classic mile in AM, the arms & legs miles in PM. Love these miles that target areas. I'm getting good at lunges & squats! emoticon

I'm sooooo tired.
Began the day with Leslie mile focusing on legs - that included squats and lunges - NOT my favorite things but they were OK today which must mean I am getting stronger or more limber or something!
Then the big dig.
After several sessions - dirt is moved into my neighbor's yard. I weazeled the remainder to make a nice sloping surface so when the guys come tomorrow, they have an easier time planting the grass. Actually, I wasn't sure they'd prepare the ground very well...
So enough of that project.

Next week I will begin in my own yard, now that the new fences are up.
And tonight I'm going out to Red Lobster with friends but am already planning how to keep my calorie count reasonable. Thanks to sparkpeople for that handy guide to eating out!

My little frog is hopping backwards! emoticon

But the good news yesterday was --- when I did my regular 1.44 mile walk and went up my usual hill, I didn't have to slow down OR stop at the top! That is really new! Results of consistent Leslie miles in the AM, I think.

so I won't boo hoo too much about my weight.
Just got back on track with Leslie's classic walk & had plenty of energy for it - now off to church to cantor this funeral...

AND I finished the digging tonight, after taking a one-mile walk! emoticon
