My Zumba Toning Class Rocked yesterday! It about killed me but in a good way. I haven't been feeling great, nauseous, not being able to eat a lot (shocking I know!:)) So I kinda wanted to throw up half the time. But I was so happy I stuck with it and worked hard. My but is still crying out for mercy!
I'm trying to decide if I want to hurry up and get ready for the yoga class that starts in an hour. I'm still not feeling great, not sure what's wrong. I may take it easy this morning and hop on the treadmill later. Everything else about me feels good, it's just my stomach is all wacky. Marc thinks it's still just from my time out and about Friday night but good lord that was DAYS ago! Could it really be? Am I that old?! lol!!

    You could have eaten something a touch wonky too. Have you checked to see if you have a low grade fever? We get a lot of mild food poisoning that we aren't even aware of.

    Way to keep at it.... as far as being sick, it could be the heat and mild dehydration! I would suggest rest, and lots of fluids, take it easy! You are making great progress.

Day 176: Playing catch up for fun.. Secrets to Success

I was out of town last week so I didn't get to do the bonus for the challenge, so I thought I would go ahead and do it this week. :)

"For the bonus this week, share two secrets to your success (related to diet, exercise, or consistency) with your team. Hopefully this will help you identify the things going well in your regimen AND learn from the best of others. "

#1 NEVER EVER GIVING UP! NEVER EVER saying it's ok just this once. It's ok, I'll do it tomorrow. I'll just have a cheat day and it will be ok tomorrow. Because sometimes tomorrow never comes like you thought. That one cheat day can turn into 2 then 3 then forever. Yes, I slip and eat the wrong things sometimes or way over eat but I don't justify it lightly. I don't say screw today I'll start again tomorrow. I try and figure out why I ate what I ate or the quantity of what I ate and go from there. I want this to be a lifestyle, meaning forever, not a diet. To do that it has to be for forever. I know I am hard on myself and this may not be the way to go for a lot of people but I know I have an addiction to food and you wouldn't say to a crack head, it's ok for today. lol!

#2 ACCOUNTABILITY! Holding myself accountable by blogging daily and posting and keeping track of my weight daily REALLY HELPS! Knowing I am going to weigh in and post the results the next day and that every binge and over eating session will reflect in that, really makes a difference.

Yesterday I went to my first Zumba class! It was scary. lol! I DEFINITELY do not have rhythm. You know you look funny when every time the instructor turns around she has a hard time not cracking up. lol! BUT I am going back today for a toning Zumba class. So I am brave! :)

Day 175: Bonus Points

BONUS (20 or 0 Points):
For the bonus this week, identify two 'personal roadblocks' that are hindering your success. We all have individual challenges or triggers that make it hard for us to make consistent progress towards our goals. Tackling these, head on, could help us get to our goals and stay there. Share your challenges with your team, along with at least 3 things you can do to begin to overcome those roadblocks.

#1: Lazy when it comes to ST and even sometimes with cardio, cutting it short, etc.

#2: Controlling PMS Binge Days

Three things to over come these..

#1 Suck it up and just DO IT! Stop being a baby and just get it DONE! LOL!
#2 Stay really busy and out of the house a good bit when I feel the binges coming.
#3 Combine the 2, ST when I feel like I'm losing control with my eating. Sweat it out of me.



I'm getting SO close! I CAN FEEL IT!! I CAN TASTE IT!! I AM HUNGRY FOR IT!!! My next goal is to reach my next monthly goal of 145 and not drop the ball before August 12th. I CAN DO THIS!! I am feeling so good about myself. I love that I have been able to say no to so many temptations, esp. this last week in the mountains. My MIL sent up SOOO many sweets it was crazy! And there was one day I was craving soda SO bad but I held on! I am so thankful now for the strength I found then. They are SO right when they say, Nothing taste as good as thin feels, because I feel good!!

Day 174: Back From the Mountains!

Monday, July 16, 2012

Back Again! I had another great week in the mountains. This time surrounded by cute british soccer coaches. lol! We hosted 4 coaches from the boys british soccer camp and loved it.
I did very well with eating and tried to move as much as possible although not much of it could have been technically considered exercise. I'm ok with that though. I kept busy. AND I'm at a new low!!! I know I may end up gaining a bit back. the last few days I hadn't eaten much. We went out Friday night and apparently I had a little much to drink and I've been paying for it ever since. lol!
I did take my scale with me to stay accountable and to not feel worried all week about if I was gaining. I'm glad I did. Here's my daily's:

7/7 Saturday: 155.2
7/8 Sunday 156.4
7/9 Monday 154.8
7/10 Tuesday 154.4 (Started Period)
7/11 Wednesday 152.4
7/12 Thursday 152.8
7/13 Friday 152.2

I'm in the 140's!!! Never thought I would get there by drinking enough for 4, but hey, they say to keep your body guessing and I guess I did that. Wooo... Not again though for a long long time. lol!
Those are some big time fluctuations between my period and the night of debauchery. Here's to hoping they will settle down..but not up. :P

I plan on having a good week. I plan on exercising and eating well. I am LOVING this progress. It felt SOOOOO good to be out on Friday and FEEL pretty and proud of myself and my body. :)

    Congratulations! 140s is something to celebrate!! I always gain about 3-5 lbs during TOM so thankfully I know when the scale starts going up that is the culprit. Glad you were able to enjoy camping and still reach your goals.

Day 173: Off Again, Only Time for a Quickie!

This will be short and sweet this morning. We're going back to the mountains for Soccer Camp so I have to get moving on the things that need to get done here before we go. Yesterday started out so well. I was PAYING ATTENTION to what I was eating. I took pictures with plans of tracking later. I even measured my banana to know if it was med. or large! But then it went down hill after lunch. :( I think this week away will be good for me. It will get me out of the house again and I will be with others so eating like a starving pig won't be likely. I will try and walk at the park every day for exercise. I'm also taking my DVDs and yoga mat along as well. I WILL GET BACK ON TRACK!! I CAN DO THIS! I WILL DO THIS!!!

THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGES!!!
Sunday: Walk in the Park!! DONE!
Monday: Walk the neighborhood (3 miles) with the boys + 20 minutes on Treadmill! DONE!
Tuesday: Walked part of the neighborhood with the boys, would have liked to have done more, but I think we still probably got at least 2 miles in.
Wednesday: Walked the neighborhood with the boys and MIL. It's been nice walking outside again to change things up. Also played in the pool with the boys.
Thursday: Walked the neighborhood with the boys (3 miles) and then did the treadmill later on as well to help with the pig out I had. :(

    You will get back on track, this is just a bump in the road. You are staying active, so it isn't all bad. If you were eating too much and just laying on the couch all day then that wouldn't be so good. You can do it. I believe in you, we all do!
