I'm Back!

Thursday, February 26, 2009

We made it back from sunny warm Florida earlier this week, and as ready as I was to be home, I REALLY miss the warm and sun.

Everything was wonderful, and the wedding was amazing. It was a simple ceremony and just perfect. We both cried through the whole ceremony. Pictures can be seen through this link...there is a link at the bottom of the page for photos, and then it's Sarah and Brian 2/18/09.

I didn't do as well as I thought I would with keeping track of food. But we did tons of walking and I managed to lose 4 lbs during the trip.

I'm excited to get back on track here and be tiny for our 1st anniversary!

Congratulations! I am glad you had a beautiful wedding, and the pictures are fabulous. emoticon

The weather is probably a bit of a shock after Florida, but at least its better than the East Coast. Who would have ever thought that Minnesota would have balmier weather than Georgia? emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

It's Here!

Today's the big day....we leave tonight to make the trek from Northern MN to Florida!

8 days til the wedding.

I have a cooler full of fruits, veggies, and water. And plans to at least get in a long walk either in the morning, evening, or at rest stops on the way.

I'll miss my Spark check-ins, but am really excited to see some sunshine!

12 days til we leave for Florida.....

20 days til the wedding!

I am so excited!

And getting stressed with everything that needs to be done before we go: shopping, packing, doublechecking lists...

And nervous....that all the work I've done to lose almost 30 lbs is going to be undone.

Any advice is welcome!

Thanks for the comment on my page! I think...enjoy your wedding and celebrate. It is a day you will remember forever. Just eat healthy, try your best and focus on what's the most important, your wedding day. your baby, your new hubby to be! Congratulations! Have a beautiful time.

My best advice is this: no matter how wonderful, small, or simple the wedding, planning one is stressful. Try to focus on the reason for the wedding, and remember that all you need to get married is the two of you (well, and your license), the rest of it could fall to pieces and it really wouldn't matter in the end.

As far as undoing the weight loss, enjoy yourself, but in moderation. I know it's often easier said than done, but take advantage of what Florida has to offer while you are down there, whether it is the warmer weather or the fresh produce. Just because you are away doesn't give you an excuse to completely change your eating and exercise habits, so try to be conscious of what you put in your mouth. And in the end, if you gain back a pound or two? At least you know what to do to take it off again.

Most importantly? Have a FANTASTIC time!

Feeling Good....and Bad.

Friday, January 23, 2009

I broke into 180-ville today and am very happy about that.

My clothes are fitting better and some are too loose. Yesterday I wore a scrub top to work that even just a couple weeks ago was too snug around the hips.

But, there's those spots. Everyone has them. Mine is my stomach....from the front, wow...looking great. From the side, still looking about 8 months along.

Time to do about 1000 crunches....

And you WILL overcome this hurdle! But just remember what the little worm that swallowed the bowling ball said "This too shall pass". (grin). I sometimes get a bit stressed when progress with either weight or my fitness goals is very slow. And even at 52 I am still vain enough to want to look as good as I can. (heheheh).

That is so great, you are making progress. I know that feeling on that one certain spot it is frustrating but you will get there.

Congrats on the progress. YEAH on the clothes. I have a pair of size 14 jeans hanging on my closet door, they're my 1st goal jeans. They are skinny legged an I want to get into them so bad! By the way who's the little red headed cutie in the background? So adorable!

It's one month til the wedding!

I am so excited and we are getting the details all worked out. We leave Feb 10th or 11th, and the wedding is the 18th.

I am hoping to lose 10 more pounds before the big day.
