Well I been putting it off the Insanity for a while now but this morning I woke up and told myself you're going to do the Insanity workout today. So this morning I did it boy was it hard. Didn't realized just how out of shape I was. I was very nervous about doing the workout. I saw the video on TV and said I can do this so I got it. But after I got it in the mail something told me your body isn't ready for this, But I just hard to try it and I am glad I did.
Today was my first day. I did the fit test which is made up of different exercises in which you have one minute to perform as many reps as you can do in that one minute time slot. Every two weeks you need to perform a fit test to see how you're doing. Then during the rest of the week you do a different video and you get one day off as well.
Today I did the following:
Switch kicks - You kicking straight up with one leg alternating and you keep your back straight too. 2 kicks count as 1 rep
Power Jacks- You doing a jumping jack but you squatting when you come down
Power knees- Bring 1 knee up at an angle across your body and you hit you knee each time while you are standing
Power jumps- you start in a squatting then you jump in the air as high as you can
Globe jumps- You do a squat and jump move. Your squat then jump right,back,left,front until you complete a rotation
Suicide jumps- you are standing then you fall into plank position jumps your legs to the front as high as possible
Push-up jacks- like a push up but you spread your legs as you go downward
Plank oblique- you in a plank position and then you drive your knees as high to reach your armpit and you alternate each knee as you do it.
Cool down routine
Somehow I survived it and got though the workout, I was even out of breath when I finish the workout which was 32 minutes long Wow.
Each one of the exercises got harder and harder but I didn't stop. I did the best I could that all that matter.
I had a bottle of water at my side and a towel cause I was sweating like a dog.
Here are my stats for the first fit test, They not great but I know in time I will get better.
Switch kicks-- 40
Power jacks-- 30
Power knees-- 70
Power jumps-- 20
Globe jumps-- 5
Suicide jumps-- 5
Push-up jacks-- 1 ( modified girly ones 20)
low plank oblique-- 20
