Changing my workout

Today is Tuesday and I started a new workout plan yesterday.
I want to try and mix it up a little. there is so much advice out there, you can get conflicting opinions from what you read online and from other friends, etc.

I'm going to start doing lower body on M, W and upper body on T and Th. Also going to try doing cardio after my weights, so I guess we will have to wait and see how that will work out.

I guess the key is just keeping at it and not giving up.

I've hit the dreaded plateau !

Hi

I'm just back on Spark People this week, but I started my weight loss journey on January 1 doing weight watchers online. I've decided to do Spark People instead cause I thought I needed a change.

To date, I have lost 27 lbs. emoticon I'm proud of myself, but I still have more that I want to lose.
The trouble is that I have been losing and gaining the same pound now for about a month. I've hit the plateau that everyone talks about.

I'm still working out faithfully and watching my diet, but I'm not seeing the numbers on the scale change. I know that I'm working hard and doing what's good for my body, I can tell the difference in the way my clothes fit, but...I have to admit, I like to see the numbers get smaller on the scales.

I'm not discouraged yet, but just concerned.
I'm changing my workout so see if that will get things going again.
I've been looking for the exercises that I do so that I can set up my program on SP.
Having my workouts planned ahead of time makes me feel better and at this point, I feel motivated to change it up a bit and see what happens. Since it is early in the month, I'm feeling like I'm kind of starting back over with a new outlook and determination to reach my goals.

If you have had a similar experience about being "stuck" and hitting the plateau, I would love to hear it how you dealt with it.

    Move over, I'm here with you on that plateau. Actually we are not alone. I too have been faithful with the calorie intake and workouts but the scale doesn't budge. I did notice that my tight shorts are loose. We just have to keep hanging in there. You look great.
Keep it up, I will too.
