So, my husband has been fighting the good fight with me the last month or so. I think we are pretty equal on food and exercise. Honestly, he is probably doing a little better. By the way- 21 days does NOT make a habit. ;0) Anyway, we were watching the end of a Zumba infomercial and it peaked his interest because we have a Zumba Wii game. I guess he didn't realize it was so hard. He gave it a try last night and I was impressed. He did well and, of course, beat me game and time wise, but was breathing heavy and sweating the same as I. :0) Don't get me wrong, I am outta shape, but not as bad as I thought. :0)

The "changing my eating habits" 21 days is done! I did it! Yay! I have now started my 21 days to make exercise a habit. This part is always harder for me. I am only 3 days in. Fingers crossed.

I only have 4 more days of my first 21 days of forming my new habit. My eating should be under control. It hasn't been that hard, but I learned a lot last year to help me succeed. My next 21 days will be forming the habit of exercise. My fitbit has really helped me realize how active I am currently and how easy it is to add activity, ie. a few extra times up the stairs or walking in place while I watch my favorite show. Although, I want to make formal exercise a habit.

    I love that you've broken these goals into small habit forming time frames. I LOVE my Fitbit! I have a goal to get 10k steps each day, and it's crazy hard some days,even if I do circles around my classroom, walk the stairs at break and lunch, I still have to walk in place at home. But it's a great habit forming little tool.

Ummmm, I would like to say I didn't eat a million calories from things I should have avoided but I cannot. So why the yay? I didn't gain any weight! Did I get to where I wanted to be? Well, no but I didn't move any further away from it either. I am ready to move forward, the treat season is over and I have collected all the resources I need to truly succeed. (Except my reward- my DH bought that for me for Christmas) I will work on that. Here is to a new year and having what you need to move forward.
P.S. the Striiv app is fun and motivates me to get moving when otherwise I wouldn't. Yay for fitness umph in the strangest places!

    Congratulations on staying in the zone! Maybe the calorie blast will shake up your metabolism *ha! that's what I tell myself, at least!
Does the Striiv sync easily to SP? It looks cute and does a lot of the same things Fitbit does. Is it waterproof? I just signed up with everymove.org to get rewards for my steps/activities. If doesn't sync yet to SP *though I sent them a request. Are you interested in joining the 2013 Resolution Team with me and finding motivation in that "strange place"?!

I always enjoy it, but then I have to taste everything to make sure it came out ok. Cookies and cream fudge, mini- s'mores treats, mint/chocolate bark, fudge, and baked toffee make up the list this year. It took me two days, so my over indulgence got spread out. Ugh. Oh well, isn't that my motto- trying again.?????

    Oh my gosh - you are a brave soul to brave such temptations! This year I think we are abandoning our traditional rum cakes -typically I make them for friends and family and then end up making one for us. And snacking along the way on the others. Yikes!
