One of Those Days

Tuesday, January 25, 2011

Sometimes you just don't want to have to do it. Whatever it is for you.

This is one of those days for me. Should be working, but I am playing on SparkPeople.

But it is better than hitting the vending machine....

This is for you!!

Why am I so tired and want to eat all protein in sight???

*looks at the calendar*

Are you still dealing with that "time of the month" or " visits from Aunt Flow" or "people are really lucky I don't bring any of my weapons to work"?? Well, then you deserve a damn medal for not totally breaking with your healthy lifestyle around this time.

So for all of you women out there (and who are we too!!!) who can pull it off during that time...this is for you!

Been on the straight and mostly narrow since the 1st, but lunch today included something that will make sure that I will be working out a bit more than normal today and tomorrow.

I won't say what it was. Don't want to tempt anyone. It isn't *that* bad or in some huge quantity, but there you have it.

I will still be outside my daily limits for today, so no snacking tonight!

I try to remember that sometimes you just have to do it, just don't go crazy.

Or crazier than I already am....

I think it's awesome that instead of beating yourself up for eating something sort of off limits, you just said "I will need to work out more...".

Bruising and silliness

Thursday, January 20, 2011

I am not so much sore from the wood pile yesterday, but I do have some unusual bruising.

And the good news is that I get to help out a friend who is post Achilles tendon surgery. She is a good reminder that my knee surgery was minor in comparison to her accident!

AND we are going to Archie McPhee. What??? You haven't heard of Archie McPhee??? For those not lucky enough to be in the Seattle area...

This is low nutritional value humor that makes me happy. Having a crappy day?? Check out this site and be prepared to roll your eyes.

But be careful! If you are not a professional eye roller like myself you could pull an ocular muscle. Please warm up first.

Okay, I just spent an hour and a half turning a messy cord of wood into a nice neat stack.

How would one log that?? Other that holy crap I'm tired...

Bodybugg says I burned 650 calories.

Awesome! You know, sometimes just good old fashioned 'chores' are the best exercise. Feels good to get something done AND workout, huh? Congrats!!!
