So I recently noticed that after bucking the system of not working out in the morning before work, it is going to be one adjustment that is truly going to be one of the main keys to my success!! I spend my days at work constantly on my feet and working out afterwards just isn't cutting the mustard anymore!! One day of not working out in the am prior to work, and then trying to make an already exhausted body amp up for a 400 cal cardio session ain't happening, so I am happy that I am happy to comply to this reality and so what it takes for me to continue being successful!! Thank God for Wisdom LOL!! emoticon

I am right there with you, I am not on my feet all day but am just as exhausted in the evening after working on the computer and talking to customers, so I do my workout in the AM or it is not done

It's Feb 21st which means that in exactly four months I will be celebrating my 1 year mark with Sparkpeople and I have let some things fall by the waist side and I am still almost in the same position I was in when I found spark almost a year ago.

So starting today I have also come across the 28 day bootcamp challenge to jump start my efforts once again to a happy more fabulous me!! When I reach my 1 year anniversary with spark according to my calculations I would like to be 200 lbs by APRIL 21 st (if not the 196 I actually should be according to calculations).

Also I just realized that yesterday started the 30 day countdown until spring, so I would love to be looking great and feeling great come MARCH 20, and not feel awful and self conscious as I usually do. I want to be excited to fit into some new sizes for those cute sun dresses that I so much love to wear and feel and look fabulous in them!!

So this bootcamp challenge came just in time and today starts day one and I am aspiring to great things!! I KNOW I CAN DO IT.. AND I WILL!!

Feeling a Little Lazy Today...

Monday, November 01, 2010

This weekend was such a great and much needed weekend away with my honey emoticon. For once I had the ENTIRE weekend off from work, and it just so happened to fall on the weekend of Halloween as well... emoticon

So the hubbs and I got to thinking if we really wanted to do the whole buying a costume, and hitting up a Halloween house party, or at the bars, but for some reason this year we just weren't amused by the idea.. So he suggests lets get away for the weekend and take a mini road trip up to Cincinnati, OH and go to King's Island and spend the day enjoying their Halloween festivities! ! emoticon

What a great idea!! We love road trips, spending time together, amusement parks, and Halloween the perfect combo!! WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!

I did however take SOME liberties to enjoy some of my amusement park favs: chili cheese fries, funnel cake, and I even tried for the first time one of those HUGE turkey legs lol... emoticon.

Everything was very good, but I didn't loose my head, I knew I had weigh in that following Monday so I kept my wits about myself and made sure that everything I had my love and I shared them together.. The weather was also Fabulous, and after 7pm about 8-10 of the rides turn into various haunted houses that were a lot of fun ( I highly recommend) emoticon

So we really enjoyed ourselves, and each other and as a added bonus we were there from about 4-11pm so our bodies were shot from the extensive walking, so we did get a workout even while out having fun!! emoticon

What a great weekend in deed, so now it's back to the grind and back to our regular schedules, but at least it was fun and something to look forward to for the time being.

Till Next Time,

OMG.. what a workout (Salsa Dancing)

Thursday, October 28, 2010

So my husband Larry and I are on a Salsa Performance Team, and we really enjoy doing it together, and as you can imagine it's a great and fun way to burn off those calories...

WELL LAST NIGHT THEY WORKED US!! It was basically non-stop, we kept practicing and re-practicing the portion of the choreography we had just learned and it was so fast paced!!

I looked up at my husband and he was def breaking a sweat, after I thought the sweat beads I was producing was an illusion. I wore my heart rate monitor and found that :

* In 55 min and 20 sec I had burned 411 calories

* My average heart rate was at 137/ and my max was at 186

* and that I had so much fun dancing that I didn't even notice just how much calories I burned!!

At the end of class, I realized that I had one fantastic work out, and Loved every min of it... I was pretty tired afterward and slept like a baby that night, but I love that I was able to do something I love, while also reaping the benefits towards my weight loss goals!! :D

Have a great day everyone!!
