When God Closes a Door

Wednesday, January 01, 2014

emoticon
I think this is what in store for most humans next year . . .
Beware !!!
Will it be fun ???
Will it be an adventure ?!?
It all depends upon your attitude . . .

"When God closes a door He opens a window. Of course, if you're overweight or its a small window it may not help much. Or if its a double pane window and He only opens one. Or if He opens a window then closes it before you can get out. Or, maybe, He opens a heating vent and you have to crawl thru a buncha winding ducts and you get lost as to where you are in there and... Wait... what was I talking about?"

Roll with the punches and come up with a plan, a good plan knowing that you have His help all the way !!!

Hi Sally! Thanks for writing this!!

There was a time when our dog got stuck under our porch...so I crawled under the porch to get him unstuck. Then I realized the Lord understands when I get stuck.
He has infinite understanding. I am so glad He does!!!

Sal---You are sooo right! HE is all we can depend on!

I view life as: when we are born, it is a 'bubble'; then, we travel through a 'tube'. In that tube, we go through trials and tribulations. These are preparing us for the after life. They are 'learning' experiences! How we handle them builds our character, and, compassion.

Then, we pass on; we enter another 'bubble' and we are rewarded or punished! You are sooo right! It all depends on our attitude!

God Bless!
Janet

Our angel, Ben (Oct 26, 1982 - Dec 22, 2006)

Saturday, December 21, 2013

Thank you for remembering us on this day.
Ben is our Christmas angel in His keeping, safe and warm in his
new robe that has sleeves just the right length. I can remember
shopping for Ben's robe during the Christmas season of 2006
and not being able to find one to fill his request of long sleeves.
God had other plans and he did end up getting that robe, I just
know it in my heart.

I was thinking about your family the other day!

It never gets any easier, does it? We just know as time goes on, that he is walking on the streets of gold. He has his eyes and ears turned toward those 'pearly gates' just waiting for all of you. Including his puppy.

God Bless You All!

Hugs,
Janet

Our angel, Ben (1982-2006)

Sunday, October 27, 2013

October 26, 2013
It was our great honor and joy to have Ben in our lives. His health
struggles were many and severe. Even in the midst of them he was
patient, kind and forgiving of those who failed him. His faith in God
and His word was genuine. He occupied a large place in our hearts
that will take time to heal. We miss our son terribly.

Those you love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed, still very dear.

Jan, Sally Carlson and Ben's little dog Riley
On what would have been Ben's 31st birthday

The flowers are beautiful, and this is a great picture of Ben that you sent me. Thinking of you Sally! The Carlson family is in my prayers. As Christians, we know that this separation is only temporary and that we will be reunited in Heaven with all our dear ones, in Christ's love. With hugs and blessings. Véronique

Wonderful reasons! May I join you? Yesterday morning I could see more of the ground than I have seen since November and I was thrilled thinking finally spring has sprung. But NOT! Woke up to 3 inches of snow covering everything and it is still snowing. We probably now have 5 inches. Soak up some of that warm sun for me.

As a native Californian, I see reasons one and two as being reasons NOT to Winter in Florida! It's so pretty! We drive up into the Sierra just to see such things!

The third reason is a good one, though.
