You've probably heard or read this at least 200 time so maybe this time it will sink in...just what size plates, forks, spoons, cups, etc. are you using...
are you using a soup/cereal bowl for soups, cereals,fruit, etc?.......try using a sauce dish.....it holds one serving of cereal with enough room for a small amount of milk
are you using a soup cup or bowl with a handle........try using a coffee mug...automatically smaller servings
what about your plate? proper servings on a regular dinner plate look very small so try a salad plate or even a toddler plate with the sections on it....sure makes your servings look soooo much larger
eating with salad forks or even youth forks and spoons will have you taking smaller bites therefore making your meal last longer and filling you up more..
By using the much smaller plates, bowls, cups, and silver, your meal will look bigger and a lot of what we eat is because it LOOKS so small to us so we add more to fill the plate...then because we have the "clean your plate" syndrome we over eat.
In this way, you can easily set your self up to win at the losing game...and even if you takes a second helping, you are still eating less than with the full size dinnerware and silver..
If salad/desert plates are still too big, go down to the bread plates.
