A Morning of Lousy Choices

Thursday, September 20, 2012

I know that it's not quite fall yet but I like this picture.

This motel has terrible choices for their breakfast. Just donuts, white bread for toast, watered down orange juice and/or stale cereal. I have to admit this morning, I made very very bad choices of donuts (yes more than one) and 2 slices of white toast.

Hopefully I will get somewhere where I can get a decent meal this afternoon.

The dinner last night was good and balanced, it was just so much food----1/4 chicken, 2 slices of prime rib, potatoes, red beans, roll, apple crisp, and corn on the cob. I didn't eat all of it---just too much. The show was wonderful with all the OLD western songs that the original Sons of the Pioneers made famous as well as songs from other western singers.

I have been to motels that had better choices than that. But I think that's becoming standard fare. Guess they're cutting corners.

Well I think Autumn has already arrived in Ohio and I'm putting out my Fall colors around the house ....

Well, my friend, I don't think we'll stay at that place again, eh? Roc

I used to stress about eating out but then came to realize that I go through periods when I do it a lot, but most of the time I don't. So I don't stress about it too much anymore, and just try to make the best choices I can most of the time. Enjoy your time with your family!

Yes, it's hard to make wise choices when traveling. Just have to do the best you can with what is offered and get back on track when you return home.. Like the pictures and ready for Fall.

Sometimes it is really hard to get what you need out of your element. You just make the best of a bad situation and trudge on.

Some one once told me "Don't beat yourself up 'cause there are plenty of people just standing in line waiting to do it for you." Hopefully not on Sparkpeople though.

Eating while you travel is difficult for me too. I can't plan ahead and that makes me stress out. emoticon

Just the pictures in your blog are enough to cheer me up. And the "nakey weight" is just an added bonus. Congratulations. emoticon

Don't we all? If I wore a wig and false teeth, I would take them off too. Every little bit helps.

Congratulations! One lbs iw 3500 calories that you didn't eat OR 4 sticks of butter that you aren't wearing around your hips. emoticon emoticon

Being Taken Care of By God

Monday, September 10, 2012

This is something only the Lord could do.

Last week, on our way from Hasting, Michigan to Michigan City, Indiana, I lost my trailer keys. I wasn't worried because both my brother and sister have a set of keys to my 5th wheel.

Dale and Sue stopped a a Meijer's to get gas when the cashier asked Dale if he was there a few days ago. He said yes----she pulled out a set of keys and asked if they looked familiar. At first, he said no--then he realized they were the keys I had lost. Apparently I had laid them on the counter when we stopped there for gas on our way down to Indiana.

Coincidence??? I don't thinks so.....only the Lord would put the same cashier there when Dale came in again.

This is a BIG THANKS TO THE LORD FOR WATCHING OVER MY KEYS!!!
