Yesterday Sue & Dale were at a thrift shop. I had mentioned that I would like a set of scales in the 5th wheel. They saw a Taylor scale for 4.99. Dale called and asked me about it. I had him get it for me. It is a professional Taylor scale with the great big dial on the top!!
Anyway, after eating brunch, I carried it out to the trailer and decided to weigh myself. Mind you this is after eating a meal and a snack---it weighed me 3 pounds lighter than the TOPS scale did on Thursday!!! Of course I did pee a lot yesterday so my feet aren't nearly as swollen. I think I'm going to like this scale.........hehehe
Dale weighed himself to check that it was accurate---he weighed within 1 pound of his weight at the doctor's office.
Dale and Sue are my brother and sister in law where my 5th wheel is parked while I am here.
It is approximately 16 weeks until Christmas. Just 1 pound per week would be 16 pounds gone by then. What a gift to God and ourselves. No rules just weigh on the same day each to track your progress. Pick your own day to weigh. If you miss a week just weigh in on your next day.
my official weigh in will be on Thursday at TOPS...today I weighed in at 249...this will be my starting weight.
Come on, join, and have fun....choose your place to post. I do not mind anyone posting here.
This is the 93 year old aunt that we visited Tuesday.

On the way to her house, we stopped at a produce store where I got lots of wonderful goodies (and no sweets even though they had rows and rows and rows of them). I got fresh local peaches, tomatoes, green peppers, cantaloupe, and apples. Also got bananas, of course those weren't local. I just love this store and go there every time I am up here. When we lived here, we did a lot of shopping there.
Yesterday was not a good weigh in day for me---my weight was up 2 1/2 pounds. My feet were quite swollen again.
Today is supposed to get into the low to mid 90s so I imagine they will be swollen again. I am not wearing my tie shoes as much as I do in cooler weather to keep the pressure on my feet. I may not be going down in pounds but either the dryer is stretching my clothes or I am losing inches. I haven't measured in quite a while and won't be able to until I get home because i didn't put a tape measure in the 5th wheel.
After TOPS, I did some shopping and stopped at a yard sale where I got 3 real nice sweatshirts for $1 each.
Even with the swelling, I did accomplish some things yesterday. After TOPS I stripped and remade the bed did up all my dishes from the past 3 days (just had a few as I eat in with Sue and Dale) and straightened up in here. This morning, I am defrosting the frig (it is nearly done now). Dale put more sealer on the roof and fixed my water leak so now I can leave the water on without it dripping constantly. He also fixed the bottom of the door where i had started to separate. Dale is my brother.
Goodness August is nearly over. Just think if we strived for one pound a week loss, we all would be down 16 pounds by Christmas-----wouldn't that be something to brag about?
