Not So Good Weigh In

Thursday, April 12, 2012

I had a 6/10 pound gain at weigh in this morning.

Today I've had a bad case of the "I wants" and I've been giving in to them!! I've eaten everything that didn't eat me first. Mostly healthy stuff---just way too much of it.

I made vegetable beef soup for supper tonight. I don't cook with salt so no added sodium. Just had 2 big bowls of the soup and a piece of angelfood cake for supper.

Silly Goal Update

Friday, April 06, 2012

I have 2 silly goals:

1. to wrap myself in a regular bath towel ....and have it fit

2. to fit in the space in front of my washer...(it is a small space)..

Needless to say I haven't reached either one yet........I am still working on them.

Do you have a couple of silly goals? Join me and have some fun!!

If you posted some--how are you doing? Have you obtained any of your silly goals?

Cute idea! Originally, one of my goals was to be able to bend down to my feet and tie my shoes without getting short of breath and stomach hurting but after losing almost 50 lbs, I was able to do that. Now I'll have to think on it some more because I want to lose 50 more lbs! I like the towel thing too only that wouldn't work here because my DD has all oversized bath towels. All the adults are big in this family. OOOh, I just thought of one. My DD's bathtub is an old fashion claw tub and I tried to take bath in it one day and said I don't remember those tubs being that small, lol! It would be nice to be able to soak in the tub without feeling like a sardine!

Love this idea! Made me really think. I would love to be able to lie on the couch and have room for my dog to snuggle beside me. emoticon

I really really really need more space between me and the steering wheel of the car ... short legs really make this a priority !! love the towel issue .... think I'll aim for a smaller towel here at the house -- my pool towel is 72 inches but I need every inch of it to dry off after the pool !!     Hey - I love your 'silly' goals - they are just the goals to keep you motivated and help keep the journey fun. Thanks for sharing them, and for getting me to think about finding a couple of silly goals for myself.

For one summer I did not need the extender when flying. Unless something drastic happens I will need one again this next year.

they're kind of silly goals & yet, not so silly ..... you'll have to lose pounds/inches to accomplish those goals and that's something to stand up and cheer about!

hang in there because

Only God Could Do This

Sunday, March 11, 2012

Amid all my comings and goings last week (along with my brakes going out), I lost my car keys. It would have cost me between $150 and $200 to replace the key.

I had searched my house and car for them. I knew they were here because I used them to drive home. I couldn't find them. I looked for 2 days. Out of the blue, my youngest daughter called (well actually my granddaughter called) and said mom wants to know if you want us to come and look for your keys. Since Tammy has the knack of finding things I lose I said if they wanted to come it would be fine. It was nearly dark when they got here.

They searched through my car and house again. For some reason (God's intervention), Samantha and Veronica decided to take my big flashlight and look in the yard. Sam went around the side of my deck and we heard "found them". They were laying on the ground beside the 2 bags of mulch. She found them just before a rain that night.

As I said, only God could have put all this together and set everything in motion. Especially finding a set of keys in the dark using only a flashlight.
