I know how valuable you are to this body. I am asking for your co-operation in making us both healthier. Please work with me as I know all the things we need to do to get healthier and I would be grateful if you would help me to obtain this goal. Together we could shed a lot of this weight. Dear Head,

Thank you for a very informative letter. I know that I have to get on the same page as you. It is so hard for me to get all this to sink in. I begin with the intent of co=operating with you then the world turns me astray. Sometimes I get a bad case of the "I Wants"....I want this thing..I want that thing. I know this isn't right or fair.

I am going to put more effort into this program with you. I will need lots of help keeping in this program/

I sure need to send the "I don't cares" to the curb and let the trashmen haul them away.

I will put more effort into following what you tell me to do..

Terrible Weigh In

My weigh in this morning was as I expected----back up!!!!

My feet are still swollen from eating out twice this week and ready prepared food.

Not only are my feet swollen but my system is out of whack too.

I sure need to buckle down for next week..

Monthly Summary for January

Here goes for the whole month------some good, some not so good........all needs improvement

calories-----------above guidelines 4 times---------below guidelines 2 times

fat.......above guidelined 3 times........below guidelines 1 time

carbs......above guidelines 0 times..........below guidelines 4 times

protein.........above guideline..0 times.........below guidelines 2 times

fiber..........above guideline 0 times.........below guidelines 8 times

sodium.......above guidelines 6 times

weight down 1 pound for this month.....total weight down 6 pounds from Dec. 1....averaging 3 pounds per month.

Improvements to work on for February.........increasing fiber, decreasing sodium to be within guidelines 100%

calories, fat, carbs within guidelines 100%

because i have a sodium intolerance, this really surprised me. Some of the items that recorded high sodium didn't have the stated amount because I made them at home and left out the salt so the number of times isn't absolute. I can tell when I've gone over my sodium level because my hands get numb and I get dizzy----didn't have any of that this past month (that I can remember). My feet were swollen a couple of times indication fluid retention.

Now, I know what to work on for February.....next report after Feb. 29..

Weigh In for Jan 26

Weigh in this morning at TOPS, my weight was the same as last week. Must look at possibly adjusting my calorie intake. Also, have to get head and heart to begin working together. It's tough when head says one thing and heart says another.

As long as the weather stays nice, I should be getting out an walking---have to get an attitude adjustment toward this.

I sure am looking forward to the warmer weather and getting outside to my roses. I am considering starting some tomato plants for container growing. I sure love those fresh tomatoes.
