Wet and Rainy Monday

Monday, April 25, 2011

Day 4 of storms.....looks like I am going to be growing seaweed and whales...

I think I did fairly well at the dinner last night...we had ham (I ate one small piece due to my salt intolerance), baked sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, fruit salad (made with low or no sugar fruits and yogurt), and mac & cheese. We aren't a dessert family so that wasn't a problem. I did have a rice crispy bar.

Didn't eat after 10:30 PM. I don't have a problem getting my water in some days I drink too much water and gain water weight.

Praying for a better outcome at weigh in Thursday..

A NEW DAY

Sunday, April 24, 2011

This is the 3rd day of rain, thunder, lightning, and wind.....my SADS sure has kicked in big time.....don't feel like moving.....took a nap after church...waiting to go to Valerie's for family dinner.

Have done very lousy with my weight....up 1 1/2 pounds in the past 2 weeks.....gotta get my head and heart together....Yesterday was the last day of my pity, I don't care eating......have done fairly well today for it being a holiday.....had breakfast at church, lunch at home, and will have supper at Valerie's (daughter)

I do need to get a better handle on food choices and get more active with exercising.

I have entered a TOPS challenge and so far all I have done is "gain!!".....not going to get my charm or pin that way........LOL

I didn't realize that it has been over 3 years since I have logged anything here......time sure flies......

When Jesus Christ shed his blood on the cross, it was not the
blood of a martyr; or the blood of one man for another; it was
the life of God poured out to redeem the world.

Hopefully back on track

On Jan. 10, I got real sick with a severe headache with nausea, vomiting , and dizziness so haven't done any exercising for 10 days. Couldn't get into the doctor until Jan. 17..and as I thought it is a sinus infection...The meds are working so I will begin slowly on Monday with stretching for 10 to 20 minutes to see how the dizziness responds...then adding slowly every 2 or 3 days...This is day 4 of antibiotic. I was able to go to church this morning and am going to Bible study tonight. Didn't get all my lessons done due to the dizziness. One thing with all the vomiting and dizziness is that my weight went down 10 pounds in a week...now if I just behave and keep it off..

Hope you are on the mend my friend. Often when you are getting over an infection with antibiotics the dizziness stays for a while. And uf you dropped 10 pounds from sickness so very quickly you may be dehydrated and weak so take it easy and be sure to drink your fluids, eat nutritious foods and get enough rest. Just add the exercise slowly!!! In time you will strengthen again. If you do too much too fast you will go down again. Better you get better and stay better! bluehorizongal

Elsie. good for you with those goals. If I could stop hurting with aches and pains I could do more. I find it so hard to drink enough water when it is sooo very cold and snowy here in Mi. But I am trying to get enough sleep which I have never done. I think that is why I am so worn out. My mind keeps going when my body should be sleeping and rebuilding cells.
Here I am known as Bluehorizongal. Nothing Rainy about that. LOL
