Wow been some time since i posted on my blog. Im still at 3 lbs to goal and im also having knee trouble. After i ran the 10k my knee started hurting and gave me so much grief i went to see the chiropractor. He couldnt believe how much i had done with the shape i was in. To much t list but anywho i have one leg shorter then the other by an inch so i have orthotics on order and cant wait for them to get here.
In the meantime im back at the gym prolly until after summer. My plan now is to work more on strength while being patient to run again IF i can.
So ive managed to do a pushup challange and did 19 before fail. My next goal will be to do a pullup. Those suckers are hard but i am determined. My fiance is bringing me home plyo boxes he made for me so i can put some kind of crossfit tabata style workout together. He is being so supportive...last week he took me to Lulelemon AND Sports check to buy me knew workout clothes and cross trainers. He also rigged up a pullup bar for me in the garage..he is the bestest!

I Did It!!

I ran my first 10k..my goal was to run the whole thing without stopping and thats what i did. My time wasnt great but i can work on that later.
I did a recovery run today and about 45 mins of stetching and im just starting to feel sore now. Im really starting to enjoy this whole running thing but im not sure my blody is going to be able to keep up with it.
Also i learned i dont need my mp3 player when i run as i dropped it in the toilet just before the race and the dumb thing wouldnt work until later that day when i went home hahaha

The other day a friend emails me and she says my running partner for the 10 k marathon backed out on me do you want to join me? My first reaction was no way i can barely do 6k now. Oh come one she says we can walk run it if youd like then she adds i can run 10k and im a fluffy girl. That made me think if she can do it can so i said yes.
Ive only got one mnth to train for it "scream" shes been training for way longer..im scared ! I also have no idea as to how to train for this other then run so i went online and started researching. I need a plan man!
So the deal was to get on the treadmill and at least see what 10k feels like. I struggled at 8 but i did the whole 10. My next plan will be to take it outside and see what i can do. I had better get on that this week.
Im going to get up one day and pretend its the day of the marathon and see what happens. That was i can learn from that day what it is i need to do and not do. In between 10k days ill do some shorter faster runs with some inclines added and do my ussual strength. I hope my body can keep up with my plan emoticon

Im finally get the hang of this running thing outside. Ive ran my loop a few times and thought it was 5 k i was running. Was so proud. Today i bought this Nike running thing to show me how far im running /time/cals ect and i found out i was actually running a lil over 6 k HA how funny is that and how great because NOW im thinking why now 10K OHMY!

    Your Nike thing sounds cool. I guess you don't need this, but I use the website www.mapmyrun.com to figure out how far my runs are. And yes you can do a 10k!!

Today is MY day i finally ran my loop wich is 5k or a little more..i got half way through it and realized i could do it and started crying lol...im so glad i didnt give up..i feel i can do anything now...just go out and give it your best..today ia your day...everything is going your way!
