Insanity - Day 23

Tuesday, August 21, 2012

We were back to Cardio Power & Resistance today. I'm glad this is the last week for this group of workouts. I know them so well that I'm almost doing it without thinking (which is bad for me - I get too complacent that way).

I think this program is well formatted where just when you have done a group of exercises and it feels like it's about to get repetitious, you go into recovery and then start a whole new set of workouts. Smart, really.

I'm looking forward to the recovery week next week - and it's only Tuesday. Ha, ha!!

Morning:) Seems that there is something to 4-week phases. Noticed the same thing with LiveFit. Between weeks 3 & 4 I get antsy. Bring on that recovery week, for you at least. lol I still have a ways to go. Gulp!

Insanity - Day 22

Tuesday, August 21, 2012

Thank goodness I start my workouts early in the morning. Today was Pure Cardio & Abs. It was tough to get through, but I got through working hard and not stopping. It's those burpees at the end that get me. Every time it's those jumps and going up and down at the end that makes me breathless. Oh well, I got it done regardless. I had to just focus and not give in to the temptation to stop.

After that, I worked all day. In fact, the last couple of days I've had no time to get online to read anything or comment on anyone's blog or barely even do my blogs. It's getting later and later every night for me to have time for myself. (it's 10 P.M. now, and I'm just starting!) I will say that I stopped off at the gym unexpectedly tonight because a friend of mine was teaching a class, and I wanted to see him. So, I ended up taking his class too. Whew! Two high energy classes a day are killer!!

Now that I'm home, I just want to go to sleep. I'm happy that my food, because of my planning, is on course. I'm sad, though, that I haven't been able to connect with any of my SparkFriends and haven't had time to read what they've been going through. I hope to have some time soon because I need my me time!!!

I think everyone hates the Burpees haha. If he did them at the beginning it'd be totally fine! But it's right at the end when your body is beginning to fatigue. I think the last time I did those I did actually drop the F-Bomb haha.

It's definitely tough finding the time sometimes to connect. But the most important thing is that you're still here and still pushin! It's easy to start strong, but it's hard to keep blogging everyday and keep reading blogs and posts when we get tired, but it really does push us to get through the next day emoticon

Yay for conquering day 22!!! LOL on the burpees. I used to kind of enjoy them. That was before Insanity. You are my hero getting in two intense cardio sessions in one day!!!

Sorry the schedule has been crazy. Seems every week I have days like that. I am with you (quite often for me) on not being able to keep up on here. Sometimes all I can do is work, get the workouts in and sleep. No worries. You have to make you number one:) For me, I start feeling guilty which isn't good. Big thing is this darn Spark thing brightens my days and I miss all of you:)

Have a fabulous week!!!

Insanity - Day 21

Monday, August 20, 2012

Rest Day!! I was able to finally go over to the garden and do some work there today. I'm really excited by all the food I'm growing! I'm at that place, though, where I need to start planting some new seeds. I think cucumbers and beets would be good.

Anyway, at least I didn't just totally sleep the day away. As it is, my dogs are so hot they don't want to go on very long walks, so I'm getting a bit less exercise than I'm used to. I ate more today too, although still within my daily limit.

I'm ready for Monday when Insanity will get me in gear first thing in the morning, and I'll feel more in control.

Insanity - Day 20

Saturday, August 18, 2012

Plyometric Cardio Circuit - DONE! It was so humid today when working out that I started sweating the first round of the warm up. Whew, it was warm out! I think I do better when the temperature is a bit cooler. My heart rate shot up about 10 points just from the heat and humidity. Still, I finished and was able to keep going all the way - even during those last side jumps and in and outs. I'm glad it's a rest day tomorrow. heat, please go away!!!!!

Working out and heat and humidity is no fun. The positive to that is that you're body was working harder. You're doing great!

Insanity - Day 19

Friday, August 17, 2012

Cardio Power & Resistance was the workout today. I found the workout harder than usual. That's what I like about Insanity. You can think you've finally conquered it and it'll be a piece of cake, but when you can do more and you do push harder, the workout becomes even more difficult. It's almost like you can never have an easy workout (unless you don't give it your all) because the more you are able to do, the more the program demands you do. Does that make sense? Anyway, it kicked my butt this morning!

I have the same issue. I was starting to wonder what I was doing wrong since some days I feel like I have more stamina than others. Then, yesterday I had a great workout and felt like I kicked its @ss. Lol. Feels great to be reminded that I'm making progress. You're doing so great!

That makes complete sense! If it gets too easy, then I guess we're not pushing ourselves hard enough. That's what I love about Insanity; it's about personal limits and pushing yourself to your personal ability, not trying to keep up with the guys on the DVD or anyone else. And the more you do it, the more you keep pushing. One day, I hope I'll be able to do every single exercise at the same pace as Shaun T. One day!
Well done you on getting it done. And as always, thanks so much for your blogs. emoticon
