Finished Round One - Starting Round Two!

I really can't believe I finished Round One of Insanity!! I lost a total of 25 pounds during the 60 days. Amazing!! I am starting Round Two tomorrow, and I can't wait. I feel so much more strong and capable that I'm hoping that this program is really the key for me to lose weight. Because of the exercise success, I've been more in control and aware of my eating. It all seems to just go together.

Bottom line: I highly recommend Insanity to anyone. The high intensity interval exercise is intimidating, but really effective. Take it at your own pace and do what you can do without hurting yourself. I hope it will make a difference in your life too!

Insanity - Ready for the next 4 weeks

I just wanted to say that I can't believe that I already have finished five weeks of Insanity and am ready to start the last four weeks of max cardio. The program seems so intimidating when you see the infomercial, I didn't think I'd be able to keep up with it, but I'm happy to say I have. Not only that, I have lost almost 12 pounds doing it. Yay! The next four weeks will be even harder, and I know that. But, I am not afraid anymore. If I was able to get through the first part, I can do the second part too. Wish me luck!!

Forgot Food Today - Ahh!

I left for work this morning in a rush and forgot to take any food with me to eat. This means I had to go all day without eating anything until afterI got back home. I did not pick up any fast food on the way home, which I'm happy for, but I cannot go without food for such a long time. I know I need to eat every few hours, and I know I need to make sure I have food with me, so I'm kicking myself that I forgot today. In addition to not picking anything up on the way home, I'm also happy that I didn't eat any food that work provides - all high sugar and carbs and no protein. Junk I just don't need. I can't keep any food on the premises, so maybe I can store some good snacks in the car in case this happens again???? Either that or don't forget!!!! Ahh!!

Day 12 - No Junk Food Yet!

So, this is my 12th day, and I haven't had any junk food in all that time. For many people, this may not be a big thing, but for me, it's huge. I work a lot and tend to get something quick on my ride home. What I did these past 12 days is stock up on some lower calorie frozen dinners. True, it's still not fresh and non-processed, but at least I am able to eat something quickly without having it be too fattening. I did cook my own dinner a few of the nights, but not all. I hope to eventually prepare my own food and store it in the freezer/fridge so that I won't be eating the processed stuff at all, but for now, small steps...

    Great job! I have the same tendencies... to eat in the car! It's my biggest weakness along with the sweets. I am only 3 days out, but no sweets or junk food yet. Tomorrow is a small road trip (1.5 hours each way) and that's when I usually munch. So I am planning on bringing some clementines. I hope that works.

I Notice Exercise Change!

I have made a small goal to exercise at least 10 minutes per day. This is only my 9th day and I already notice a change in me! I seem to be able to make time for the exercise (a big excuse I had) even when I have a lot of work to do. I am also enjoying the exercise and wonder why I ever stopped exercising in the first place. It gives me energy and a boost of confidence. Wow, it only took a week to feel better. I should have done this sooner!!!

  Exercise is a great stress buster. While walking on the treadmill, I go through everything that happened that day and work it out in my head. Afterwards, I feel better! emoticon

    Good for you! Keep it up and you will have more energy, feel better and lose weight. It only takes a little bit at a time and gradually increase it til you are doing 30 minutes a day or more. I am up to 75 now. You just have to break it up.
