Insanity - Day 61

Friday, September 28, 2012

Max Interval Plyo - Last time for a while on this one. Pushups and lots of jumps. All I can say is YAY! I'm done with Plyo!! OK, only two more days...can I handle it?? On another note, of course I don't have Asylum yet. I guess it'll be delivered on Tuesday next week. So, I am planning now to start Asylum on Wednesday. I'll probably do Core Cardio & Balance for those two days prior. What a drag! I just hope Asylum is as good as I've heard. Otherwise it's off to Tap Out XT, right, Brad???!!!

Nice work with Insanity. I've done them both twice, and enjoyed them. IMHO you won't be disappointed with Asylum if you liked Insanity.

I totally commend you on going through with the insanity. It looks scary to me, I think mostly because I have knee and now a shoulder issue. Keep us posted on how you do overall! Keep up the good work, it sounds like you are totally enjoying your workout!

Insanity - Day 60

Friday, September 28, 2012

Core Cardio & Balance - Recovery Day - So I'm nearing the end of Insanity, Rounds Two. This workout, again, was very easy to do. It's funny how the first time I did this one, it was during the first recovery week. My arms burned at the end and were shaking as I tried to hold them up. Today I barely noticed the arms. It was a little uncomfortable by the end, but nothing difficult by any means. The same goes for the knee lifts and pulsing and extensions. The first time through, I had to put my foot down a couple of times. My hip flexors were on fire. Now I go through it and I can hold it through no problem. I do feel it by the end, but it's not that feeling like I did something amazing. I'm happy that my fitness level has outgrown this recovery workout. I can't wait to start something more challenging!!

Perseverance pays off. You sound like me. One mountain climbed and looking for a higher one. I have often thought during a routine exercise that I look forward to being able to do this without being so taxes. But, I know when I reach that level I will push to do something harder and it still will not be easy.

Insanity - Day 59

Thursday, September 27, 2012

Max Interval Circuit. OK, I know what I said yesterday. This workout I do not have memorized. I do know how it's broken up (warm-up, three sets of exercises repeated three times each plus some extras thrown in), but I never remember what exercises we're going to do until Shaun T. demonstrates. It kept me more motivated having to wait to see which exercise was next. Also, I was super sweaty this workout. I think I really pushed myself to the limit today as it's the last one of these for a long while. I had fun kicking my own butt. Woo Hoo!!

Insanity - Day 58

Tuesday, September 25, 2012

Max Cardio Conditioning & Cardio Abs - OK, definitely need to change it up a bit. I think I have this whole DVD memorized too. And since it's the shortest of the Max workouts, it makes it even shorter (if you can understand how that could be possible). I'm not just walking my way through these workouts either. I'm really working hard...it's just maybe boredom makes it less fun? I don't know. I will say that I felt my abdominals throughout the entire ab workout. I was able to do everything correctly this time and finished strong.

Another thing to say is that I will definitely continue to use these workouts periodically when I have a day where I want to throw something on, but I don't think I want to repeat the entire program again for a while. Maybe next year might work? I just need a change... I hope Asylum breaks me out of this funk!

Boredom is a spirit killer. Gets me every time. Doesn't seem how hard I work, once I hit that point it is difficult. Seems that you are ending at the perfect time. Hope Asylum mixes it up enough for you Super Woman:)

Insanity Days 56 & 57

Monday, September 24, 2012

Yesterday was my last Rest Day and today was Max Interval Plyo. I felt my pushups to be a bit stronger today. Glad it was a rest day yesterday. I think I needed to rest my body a bit. I was also able to continue through the workout no problem. Of course, I'm a bit slower at points than the crew on TV, but I was consistent and didn't stop. (I'm thinking of the power jumps here as I'm super slow with those. It's like one... ... two... ... three... ... ha, ha!)

I can't believe this is my last week of Insanity! This second round went much faster than the first. But, I can't wait to start Insanity: Asylum. It will be good to change it up. I don't even think I'm going to do a recovery week. I think I'll just start back up on Monday (with Sunday as my last Insanity day).

Only one more Max Plyo! You are in the home stretch! I was the same way with starting Tap Out right away. Who needs a recovery week? Dive on in and get some more Shaun T!
