Insanity - Day 37

Tuesday, September 04, 2012

Max Interval Plyo - Done. Last time around, I found this workout the hardest of the whole program. Today I remembered why. Whew! It's not so much the pushups (and pushups and pushups), but it's the jumping I.E. plyometrics. Yikes! The jumping just wipes my body out. I was able to get through the whole thing without stopping (I really don't know how), but I really had summon up the strength - from where, I don't know - to keep going.

But, this is not the end of my story today. I've had a really stressful job issue that I've been dealing with all weekend. It's coming to a head, and today I was so stressed, I had to keep myself from losing it. (By losing it, I mean yelling at someone I work with who messed up enough that it's going to cost a lot of money to fix or the project will be cancelled.) I decided to go to a spin class. I figured I'd release all my anger and stress on the bike. I did, and it felt great! Unfortunately, I'm back dealing with the same issue, and although I feel more calm, I'm still really stressed. I hope I can relax when I finish for the day!! (Oh, and I'm writing this to relax me too!)

Way to go on taking your stress out in a productive way. Good luck on continuing to deal with this stressful situation.

Wow, spin class after Max Plyo is impressive! Way to go on doing all the Max Plyo, I was never able to do it all without taking a break. Hope work settles down for you soon!

Insanity - Day 36

Monday, September 03, 2012

emoticon I started the second month with MAX INTERVAL CIRUIT!! I knew it was more difficult than the first month, but forgot just how much. I'm happy to report, though, that I did make it through this entire workout without stopping. Yay! I was able to do everything too - a much different outcome than the first round. Of course, I call any type of pushups "Sabrina pushups" because I don't have really perfect form with them. I am able to keep straight up and down (no butt in the air), but I can't go super far down (chest touching). I know I should go lower, but I'm just not there yet. I will be one day, though!

Bring on Max Plyo!!

Woohoo!!! Congrats on making it through the complete workout without stopping. Amazing:) I am with you on the pushups. I have goofy elbow issues and I look a little strange doing them. I am hoping the day comes when I look like I am a pushup pro:)

emoticon for month 2! That is really cool that you can tell a difference in what you can do from the first time around. Push ups are the hardest thing for me also and I also hope to me able to do them all 100% correct one day! But for now, I just do the best I can and know that I am working as hard as I can!

Yeah yeah yeah! I did Max Interval Circuit today too! This is week three into the second month and it was much easier to get through today than it was two weeks ago! I love that little extra umph he gives you during the high hook/low hook/rope jump.

"I need power, and I need for you to dig deeper!"

Yeah, I'm hooked.

Insanity - Day 35

Sunday, September 02, 2012

Rest Day!

I'm happy to report that I am 100% excited about starting the second month of Insanity!! Even though it is more of a challenge this second month, I feel that I am totally up for it! By the end of the program the last time, I was actually able to do pretty much everything OK, although I still had problems with losing my breath. This second time around, I will be working more on form and absolute completion of every exercise without taking breaks. Last time my heart rate really climbed, but since starting this second round, I've noticed my heart rate has come way down. I think I'll be just fine and should be able to get through everything without stopping. I may not be able to do as many reps as Shaun T and his crew, but I'll be able to do what I can do in the time allotted. I almost can't wait for tomorrow...and the next four weeks!!

Awesome!!! Keep up the good work and attitude. It does really when you say "Okay, I'm just gonna do as many as I can proper form instead of following as many as Shaun T." I work harder by doing proper form than I do by just "throwin knees" like Shaun T says. emoticon

Awesome! And down the stretch you go! The last 4 weeks really seem to have gone pretty quick for me. Interested in how you do on the harder workouts the second time around!

Insanity - Day 34

Saturday, September 01, 2012

Last Recovery Day was today. Woo Hoo! Monday starts the Max challenge (and only one more month to go for this round). I decided to also add the Fit Test today as today's workout is easy enough that adding the Fit Test wasn't going to knock me for a loop. However, if I had waited until Monday, I think I would have been overwhelmed. I remember last time that I could barely finish the Fit Test after the new workout. So, I made the choice to vary the program.

Goals

Friday, August 31, 2012

So, here are my goals for the coming weeks:

4 weeks - lose 6 pounds
6 weeks - lose 9 pounds
8 weeks - lose 12 pounds
10 weeks - lose 15 pounds
12 weeks - lose 18 pounds
14 weeks - lose 21 pounds

Add strength training into my program on a consistent basis:
ST 3 X 30 minutes per week

Add more cardio:
Additional 10 minutes per day beyond my Insanity workouts.

Track my food on a daily basis.

This will take me through my third Insanity round where I will re-evaluate.
