on pledge week on PBS and Doctor Amen (what a name) was speaking about his program of fixing the brain to get rid of cravings and figuring out what kind of eater you are as an individual. what kind of tests you should have the doctor test you for. I really don't have time for all that but some things he said did help so far since starting with sparkpeople not even staying religious with it i've gone from 325 lbs. to 307lbs. not trying really, (my lap band is too tight i just had it loosened) it helped me gain more perspective into me and what i'm doing.
i hate exercise but in NYC their's Hoola Hooping class (meetup.com) Twirlnyc.com and the 14th Street YMCA is crazy super fun and fast fast toning calorie burn is off the chart because you don't realize your working out.
I'm a clutz with my hoola hoop so i've been using YOUTUBE.COM/ SPARKPEOPLE it's fantastic i love it get the dvd yall' my preference for changing my routine is "Princess Farhana" belly dance, also "World Dance New York Belly Dance" also on Youtube.com also Veena and Neena Belly dance also one more great yoga teacher: "Dina Prioste - Get Exercised "on you tube and other video feeds. if you like you can make your own collection and down load a youtube - Flv. file converter go to KOYOTESOFT.com and find it there and you can make your own files from you tube.
AFTER I LEFT THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE SATURDAY my lap band was loosened up and i found out i lost weight it gave me encouragement, i want to really love myself and i saw the new "Victoria's Secret" campaign on 6th avenue "I LOVE MY BODY" i want that sooo bad.

for people who are tense medidation/hypnosis, seratonin - st. johns wort, 5HTP and exercise.
for people who are compulsive/impulsive they have low dopamine - L-tyrosine, green tea and exercise.
for people with combination cravings/triggers he said fix your brain use multiple combinations of therapy (vitamins)
know your triggers eat before an event - or bring a snack along that helps you keep control.
suppliments every dieter (i hate that word) needs:
Vitamin D (because if the body is deficient it's really bad)
Sumi-E - B6 - magnesium - GABA --
Omega 3 (either fish oil or Flax seed i'm allergic to fish)
Alpha Lipoic Acid
DECREASE ARTIFICIAL SUGAR because the sweetness increases cravings.
NOTHING WHITE or decrease white sugar and flour.
