Day 27 at the end of it; YAWN.

Don't know how many calories, but had birthday fare at daughter's party.
33 fitness minutes: 2 videos + 15 min stationary bike at full speed, knowing I'd be partying

It's been a long and full but good day. Best part - Reiki on other daughter's new massage table. The first three days of work this week will be intense like last week, and then I can slow down a bit. It was lovely having Reiki done this evening, and I'm heading for bed. No lunch to prepare; we have party leftovers.

I brought spinach balls, vegetarian stuffed mushrooms, light strawberry cream cheese mini sandwiches, neufchatel and walnut sandwiches, and cucumber sandwiches.

Day 26 Where did my energy go?

I'm a bit over calories today, simply didn't have the wherewithal to worry about it. I can say though that such a day would have been considerably more calorie-filled in the past.

No energy at all this morning, slept an hour extra, went back to bed for some more, convinced myself I could stand 10 min of today's bootcamp video and did it but without the usual energy. I did well to accumulate 31 fitness minutes, even though I was moving slower. Doing my normal Saturday chores has taken longer than usual, and I'm not done.

To quote my southern grandmother, I'm "just plumb tired." Last week demanded more of me physically and mentally than I usually have to put out, and I've got another three days like that coming up this week. There's only so much I can do about it, but I do know there's an end in sight and am very grateful that most of the time I don't have to keep going at this pace.

Day 25 Long day and good everything!

67 fitness minutes - videos, stretching, walk, heavy lifting/carrying

It's not quite 8:00, but I think I'm going to be in bed within the next 45 minutes. This has been a LONG day, worked extra hour and a half same as yesterday. I will likely have two if not three more days of the same next week. I took a 10 min brisk walk on break, had to get out the building and clear my head. I'm getting a good workout just doing my job at the moment; it's usually not so physical. But I'm not complaining. I'm strong enough lift and carry, careful enough not to hurt myself, and grateful for any fitness minutes I get. I was on my feet a lot today with little time to sit on my ball.

I had a mid-week check-in with my emoticonthis morning, and still the darn thing hasn't budged. WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT?

Food today included ONE oatmeal cookie in the breakroom and eating out this evening. Olive Garden had a long wait, so mom and I ended up at Bob Evans and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of our basically low cal meal. There were choices marked to add up to 460 calories. I added a biscuit, but ate it plain, took the other biscuit and my fruit for dessert home, had a small portion of the salad dressing on the side, and asked for lemon for my potato-crusted flounder. The broccoli was perfectly steamed, neither too little nor too much, and the flounder was delicious. My meal came out to 459 calories, emoticon

I'm pleased with my 1000 fitness minutes award. That was one of my January goals. emoticon

    Your body is resetting itself to cope with losing weight. Once it knows there is food available it will stop hanging on to every little bit! So make sure you keep on eating at least the minimum 12,000 calories or it will think famine is in the offing
You are doing wonders with your exercise and keeping up good habits; that's the main thing and the weight loss will follow. Slow and sure wins the race!!

    Patience, grasshopper. Just keep making good choices. As long as you are burning more calories than you are eating, eventually something has got to shift.

Maybe changing things around from day to day can help. I am finding that when I do the same exercise and food every day I don't get results as quickly as when I eat and work out differently from day to day - even when I am doing it "right".

Day 24 All day on the ball and then some

Calories today: 2012. I may have a small snack, but at the moment am not the least hungry.

Fitness: 50 min of video, stationary bike, a walk on the Pinellas Trail at lunchtime + whatever you get out of sitting on a ball all day. I can tell I'm using different "sit" muscles.

I worked late tonight, may need to do the same tomorrow through a Wed deadline. I'm really glad I don't do that all the time.

Things to be grateful for today:
1. Too busyat work to be hungry--or notice
2. After a slow start this morning, I was able to go for a good brisk walk at lunchtime.
3. Leftovers for dinner, didn't have to cook when I got home
4. Daughter has a promising interview tomorrow
5. I work with such pleasant people, and it's QUIET.

Day 22 & 23 Ball on the go!

Day 22: No internet at home yesterday. A coworker and I talked about SparkPeople and did half the qi gong video together. Everyone likes my ball idea!

Cal 1353
Fitness 30

Day 23: Took my ball to my other work location. I may be spending the next week working there, and I don't like the chair in that office.

Coworker at location #2: "What's that?"
Sableness: "The latest in office furniture!" emoticon

Calories so far: 1206. I ate brunch out, had a delicious veggie cheese omelet, ate a light dinner a bit ago, and am going out tonight. I will have decaf coffee and ONE SMALL treat to finish out the day's calories. If I'm not hungry, I won't eat. Isn't that a novel idea???

Fitness: 54

Noticing: I've felt tired this week, less energy and inclination for exercise though I've kept at it. I have NOT gotten enough sleep this week, and I'll be getting home around my bedtime tonight. Looking forward to catching up on the weekend and starting next week out more rested. emoticon

Edit: did have one small guava bar, cup of decaf with 2 T whole milk. The guava bar was delicious! Ended the day at 1335 cal.
