Emotions check-in: better than I was.
I dealt with an upset by stopping to walk at a park. Saw a lesser blue heron, a napping gator, lots of squirrels, an anhinga drying its wings, and a large spider in the middle of its perfect web. Have seen great horned owls and osprey here, but not today.
I dealt with an upset by deeply breathing and consciously relaxing at the time.
I dealt with an upset by eating part of my dinner when I got home and will track it as such. Had to share salmon bites with Miss Moppet, who also ate a few little balls of mashed potato.
I dealt with an upset by telling my husband about it, naming what upset me and why. (It wasn't him.)
I dealt with an upset by choosing to blog instead of binge. Now I feel comfortably full after my partial early dinner and less inclined to eat unnecessary extras. When I feel hungry again, I'll have steamed green beans from the garden and fruit for dessert.
