How do I start again??

Wow!! I've been away from Spark for six months, and I'm starting to feel how overwhelmed I must have felt the first day I signed up at the beginning of this year. While I've been away from Spark for so long, I haven't been completely away from the healthy life I want to live. I've still been exercising, however sporadically, and still eating moderately healthy and within reason. I've only gained about 5 of the pounds back that I lost earlier this year. So now, I'm in a re-evaluation phase, and I want to get completely back on track with all my life, health, and weight-loss goals!! So, here I am - feeling a little overwhelmed, and a lot excited, and hoping that it's never too late to to pick up the slack and rejoin the ranks.

There are so many people I want to visit and reconnect with, and so many SparkGoodies I want to leave for my SparkFriends, and so many threads I want to post on, and so many blogs I want to write, and so many SparkPoints I want to earn!! Right now, however I really need to go work out, so hopefully over the next couple of days, I can start with all those exciting things!!

How do I start again?? With one thing at a time, I guess...

    Getting back on Spark seems like a good first step towards starting again :) I am just getting back on here as well, just to start reconnecting with everyone so that I can get right back on track after the baby is born :) 23 more days hehe. Anyway welcome back!! You always helped me feel so motivated and I look forward to reaching our goals soon :)

July Goals

1. Exercise at least 5 days a week.
2. Measure out my portion sizes.

1. Go for at least 5 walks outside.
2. Have only one drink a day that's not water.
3. Get my vacation pictures developed and start working on my vacation scrapbook.


Update
Wow - I can't believe June is over. It was one of those months that sort of got away from me. While we were on vacation at the beach, I went for two walks outside, and when I got home, I wanted to continue walking outside...but I didn't go for another walk outside this month - it seems like something was always getting in the way. I did pretty good with drinking lots of water and on most days of the month, I had only one drink that wasn't water, such as a glass of juice or a soda or a beer. I did accomplish my third goal - I got some of my vacation pictures developed and started on my vacation scrapbook - now I just have to finish it!!

Here's to July!! - will post new goals tomorrow.

May Goals

1. I will work out at least six days a week.
2. I will not eat double helpings or seconds.
3. I will keep my flowers watered and my flower beds weed-free.

Update
I was not as successful in May as I would have liked to have been...I did not work out six days a week - I think I may have only done that one week out of the month. I probably did best with my second goal - I made a conscious effort to eat only single servings and not go back for seconds. I did keep my flowers that are in pots watered (with quite a bit of help from my husband), but I didn't weed the flower beds around the house a single time last month...my husband sprayed some weed-be-gone type weed killer - that helped, but I should have gotten out there and pulled the weeds.

So I am about a week behind because I was on vacation last week, but I'll blog my June goals tomorrow and start the rest of this month out on the right foot!!

    i love the last one! i always forget about my poor flowers and plants.... that's why i no longer have any to take care of...the rest of the family has to do it because i'm so absent minded

BLC6 - The Pledge

The Pledge:

I Pledge that during the BLC6 I will...

...be good to my body and fill it with healthy foods and enough water to drown a fish.

...treat myself and my teammates with kindness and RESPECT.

...weigh in every week, no matter if I lost, gained, or stayed the same.

...follow ALL of the rules of the contest, and ask Ashley (Abuchweitz) if I have any questions.

...ask for help and support when I need it, and give others help and support when they need it.

...NOT give up on myself or my teammates, no matter what!
