I was working my second job the other night, when I struck up this conversation with someone about chocolate. They said they stopped eating it because of their kids. Apparently, they are against letting their kids having chocolate. Granted, this person and their kids looked to be in great physical shape. However, is chocolate really the end all to our society?
Now I know I'm not in shape enough to swim the English channel, or even close to that, but it seems that a proper portion of Chocolate can be perfectly acceptable. I would even go so far to say that even eating a tad of coca on a daily basis might even have some health benefits.
I would even venture to say there are emotional benefits to chocolate, which I suppose would also allow for further health benefits. Not only does a nibble here and there help calm me down, it also makes for a great reward system for my kids. *gasp* Yes, I will admit to the occasional bribe. You will be amazed at what a kid will do for two M&M's. Sometimes they drive a tough deal and I have to raise their wages to three M&M's, but at least all their toys are away and they march off to bed without complaint.
Now, do I just have a fat person's attitude about this? Or, am I correct to assume that if you track what you eat and do everything in moderation, you should be okay? What are your thoughts?
