WooHoo Day 100 with SparkPeople!!

Today marks the 100th day I have been an active member of SparkPeople. This is the first time I have been dedicated and determined to make a difference in my life. Yeah, I was a member of WW but that got old and boy did it get expensive. I got to the point where I had to choose between WW and my Y membership. Well let’s just say “I Love the Y”. With SparkPeople, I don't feel like I am in competition with anyone else. It is all about me.

Reflecting back, I have learned the following from SparkPeople and my :
* there will be days I will not feel like or want to exercise and that is ok. No need to beat myself up. Just move on to the next day.
* there will be days I will not drink 1 glass of
not to mention 8
*There will be days I will need to say and think about what I am doing.
*There will be days I will want , , (not necessary in that order or on the same day) and I know I can have these things as long as I do it in moderation.
*There will be days I will need to take the stairs because the elevator is not working . I know I can do this without a problem because I have been exercising and eating better.
*There is a way to fit in 10 mins of exercising without realizing it.
*There will be days I will need to work harder than the day before .
*I can set mini goals and accomplish them (but I must put forth the effort) .
*I can celebrate my accomplishments regardless of how large or small
*Giving SparkGoodies is contagious!
*There will be days the scale is not my friend .
*There will be times I will need to call on someone to help push me along or pick me up.
*In order to succeed I must work and sometimes that means working hard.


I will not through in the towel. I will use that towel to wipe away the sweat from my workout.

Wow, this blog is great! How motivational...and each bullet point applies to me! Fitting in 10 mins of exercise, good vs. bad days, days I want to eat pizza and donuts, not drinking enough water, etc. It is about realizing that we're not perfect and to celebrate every little accomplishment. You've done such a great job, and I'm glad you've made this lifestyle change opposed to following a "diet" or "program." Way to go, woman!!! I'm inspired by people like you! 25th Class Reunion

Last night I attended my 25th Class Reunion and I had a wonderful time. I saw people I had not seen in 25 years and some I had never see .

Door prizes were given away, a moment of silence and candle lighting for the classmates that were no longer with us , food and pictures. The certainly brought back old memories, both good and bad.

My most memorable moments were:
seeing the guy I had a crush on in the 9th grade (and high school) . He still looked the same as in .
a classmate hugging me and telling me how great I look (this is a girl that did not talk to me in school).
a classmate introducing me to his wife and telling her how we had classes together and how I had not changed.

OK I must brag on myself. I did look great. After comparing pics from the 20th reunion with the 25th I can definitely see a difference in the weight (to the good) . It felt good to look good both inside and out. Last night I was not that nerdy girl from high school, I was (and am )a beautiful woman who has gone through her share of ups and downs, good and bad but still managed to pull it together enough to make an impression.

Yes, I still have weight to lose. Yes, I need to work harder to get it off. I will get it off. I have come to realize I am not going to shed the weight fast like some of my SparkFamily members, but it will come off. In the meantime I am going to enjoy the here and now. I will continue to eat , and enjoy life .

I hope to get some pics on my page from last night. Have a wonderful night it will be Monday before we know it. Goodnight to a very hot day 99!

Today is the class of 1985 25th class reunion . I am up and at it because I want to get things done before the heat and humidity gets unbearable . For some reason I do not do well in heat like I use to and than again I use to weigh 100 pounds .

Depending on what time I get home, this blog will either be the first of two or the only one today. We will let the music play tonight and
like there is no tomorrow .

To everyone, haters, , and others for all the love, hate, and support. I would have never got to the point mentally or physically without your help. Have a great day and we shall chat later

Big Day Tomorrow

Well tomorrow is my big day, my 25th Class Reunion . It should be an interesting event. I mentioned before I am not thrilled about going but I am with my BFF . In the morning, I will need to do some last minute things. Around 6 p.m., I will be off to the ball. One thing for sure, I will weigh less than I did 5 years ago .

As I mentioned, I have some last minute things to do in the morning before it reaches near a 100 degrees . I am calling it a night. Hopefully I get a chance to tell you all about my reunion.

I Rewarded Me on Day 96***

I have been working hard at my healthy living and I need to get prepared for my 25th Class Reunion. Guess what I did? I rewarded myself with a manicure, pedicure and facial .

Now don't get me wrong, I went to work today and I worked hard. After work, I went to the Y and worked even harder . I was back on the treadmill with 10 pounds 's (2 pounds more than yesterday) and I was at it for 35 min (5 mins more than yesterday) . I felt great after my work out and decided to treat myself to something I have not had in over 8 years. I got cleaned up, to the nail spa I went. Words can not describe how it felt to be pampered. Everyone should experience a pedicure once in their life. Well, I had to come back to reality when I got home (husband had not taken out the trash, put the dishes in the dishwasher, etc). I am over that problem and now I am going to bed .
