It's Saturday!

Saturday, December 03, 2011

I miss so much not being able to do Zumba this morning. So much so, I can hear the songs emoticon emoticon emoticonfrom class in my head. There are so many things I need to do after I get off work. Maybe when I get home, if I am not too tired emoticon, I can do my own mini Zumba workout. The weather is wonderful emoticon with a slight breeze. Wish I was outside emoticon emoticon emoticonenjoying it all.

Hope your Saturday is Sparking emoticon

It Friday!!!

Friday, December 02, 2011

I am so happy it is Friday. It has been a very busy week in for me. On December 1, after being in the same position for 17 years emoticon, I received a promotion emoticon. During the past two days, I have received so many emoticonand well wishes. Feels so good to be recognized for a job well done. I have a lot of work ahead of me. So now I have the mission of making changes in my new position and continuing to work my way down some more pounds emoticon. Boy, I have a great deal of hard work ahead of me. Since I am working tomorrow, better get some rest.

Hope your Friday has been filled with Spark.

Stepping out My Comfort Zone

Wednesday, November 30, 2011

WOW! I am still trying to come to grips with the wonderful things which are happening in my life. I decided sometime this year I would "step out of my comfort zone."
I stepped out and accomplished the following:

emoticonVW Jetta (owned 2 Mitsubishi Mirages)
emoticonToss clothes that were too big
emoticonHad hair cut short
emoticonApplied and interviewed for different positions
emoticonGot the position I REALLY wanted. So when the clock emoticon strikes Midnight tonight, no longer will I be considered "Support Staff"(secretary), I will be a Director (a person in charge). This is the beginning of a new position for me and the end to a position I have held for 18 years emoticon. I am looking forward to this and I am scared. Like I have done with everything else I have "stepped out my comfort zone" and done, I will give it my all.

Keep me in your positive thoughts and emoticonprayers as I take on this new journey. But don't fret, I will still be here to Spark. I still have additional miles to emoticon travel on this road to a healthy lifestyle.

If you have not stepped out your comfort zone, you might want to give it a try. I have and it is emoticon emoticon

A friend of mine who recently moved and changed jobs said something that rang so true and which you're feeling in the face of all this positive change...

"I'm excited and a little scared, and because of that, I know it's worth doing"

It's also what you DESERVE, so revel in the good stuff, and know you're reaping the rewards for so many positive steps that YOU have taken!

Just in case . . .

Tuesday, November 29, 2011

you think you can continue to wear the same clothes when you lose weight, think again. Just because the pants have a nice fitting piece of elastic in the waist does not mean those pants fit. I found this out the hard way. Today I decided to put on a pair of pants for work with elastic in the waist, I wore when I was heavier. These pants have elastic in the waist, there is no reason not to wear them. Boy was I wrong. Yes the pants fit nice in the waist but the rest of the pant fitted like a sack. emoticon emoticonWho would have thought emoticon emoticon. Yes it is wonderful to have lost the weight and I do not regret the choice to get the weight off. The one problem I have is not having anything to wear. I guess the best way to look at this situation, it could be the other way around. Will be hitting bargain shops and discount stores this weekend.

Hope your day has been Sparked !

Can you take them to get them altered? I know a lot of local dry cleaners will do them for pretty cheap. Goodwill is another good option.

That's a wonderful thing... reward yourself with each milestone so you can start to replace things little by little without breaking the budget.

Revel in your accomplishment--you deserve it!!!

Absolutely love Goodwill during this time of weight loss! There is a great one in Clemmons (it's a little hidden away so if you don't know where it is you can miss it) & I've gotten a lot of great things there. I keep griping to my daughter about having to get new clothes since I've lost weight & she just tells me to shut up & enjoy it emoticon Have fun shopping!
