BLC weekend challenge (my first!)

SET - our WEEKEND Challenge:

S - SWEAT - Get at least 20 minutes of intentional exercise* 20 pts per day
E - ENGAGE - Post at least once a day in either the Challenge Hall or Clubhouse 20 pts per day
T - TRACK your food each day (on Spark, journal or other nutrition website) 20 pts per day

* Intentional exercise is deliberate exercise that either gets your heart rate up for an extended period (for example, cardio for 10+ minutes) or works your muscles to exhaustion (toning exercises or lifting weights). Brisk walking counts, shopping doesn't. Cutting grass using a push mower might count (if it's challenging for you), but a riding mower doesn't.

Each day you get the maximum points (60), you get a bonus of 40 points. Maximum for challenge is 400 points

SWEAT: F 20/20 S 0/20 S 20/20 M 0/20 = 40/80
ENGAGE: F 20/20 S 20/20 S 20/20 M 20/20 = 80/80
TRACK: F 20/20 S 20/20 S 20/20 M 20/20 = 80/80
BONUS: F 40/40 S 0/40 S 40/40 M 0/40 = 80/160

or at least he will be in a couple hours! Roo won't be too happy about losing half her space in our bed but I know she WILL be glad to see her papa. AND he's taking tomorrow off! Family fun time.

Productive day

Or at least it was from about 3:00 on. It took me that long to get my butt in gear and attempt to accomplish stuff. My "list" of things to do today was short but meaningful.
What I did:
~ go to stroller group and run club. - CANCELLED - Two moms had cranky babies & I didnít want to walk alone.
~ drink 64 ounces of water. -DONE
~ consume a minimum of 5 fruits and vegetables. - DONE
~ keep on top of a few housekeeping duties. - DONE
~ turn my rolled coins in to the bank for USD. - DONE
~ take the recyclables in. - DONE - $20.45 (score!!)
What I didn't do:
~ take my wedding rings to the second hand store to see if I can sell them.

My stroller tried to do me in tonight. Something is wrong with one of the back tires and, when I tried to go from walking to running, it started to wobble like it was going to fall off. Scared the dickens out of me. Needless to say I didn't get my hill training in. I did do two good laps around our "lake" while the rest of the HM group ran 4 hills. I have to have this looked at before I head to Pittsburgh. My life will be difficult if I don't have my stroller in tip-top shape. One more thing to add to the revolving list. Well that and run my 4 hills that I was supposed to run tonight. emoticon

The momma is trying to stick to "the plan" and Roo is learning more about swimming. Yesterday, I blew off my workout emoticon and stayed home all day. I woke up feeling like someone had taken sandpaper to my throat. I *could* have gone to bootcamp, I just didn't. I now owe Kidsport $15. On the plus side, plenty of fruits and vegetables were consumed and I made my water quota. Mostly because of my tea w/honey.

Today, Roo and I went to her second swimming lesson. IT WAS AWESOME! First, the instructor had us dip their chins in and then put them in a back float. We're not allowed to really hold them so I just kept a handle on the frills of her swimsuit. Next we had to submerge them. This made me seriously nervous as I'm not very comfortable dipping my own head in the water BUT I/we did it. She rocked it. She also made it through the double submerge w/o freaking out. More than once. I was such a proud momma.
My calories today are even better than they were yesterday. I consumed MORE fruit and vegetables than I usually ask of my meal plan. Water's a little lacking but I've not gone to bed yet.

I got the cutest picture of Roo today. Paul was on Skype talking to her and she was listening to every word through the headphones and watching every silly face he made.


Anyway, my goals for Wednesday are:
~ go to stroller group and run club.
~ drink 64 ounces of water.
~ consume a minimum of 5 fruits and vegetables.
~ keep on top of a few housekeeping duties.

    It always amazes me how well babies do in the water. And that picture of her with the headphones... she looks so intent! Love it! Glad you're feeling a little better - hope it keeps improving. Goal Setting Challenge (stolen from Bobby)

First Goal setting:

1) Fitness Related:
Do two additional workouts (besides running). I'm already scheduled to do a Mommy/baby bootcamp class on Monday and I have Burn on Thursday. All I have to do is not jam out on either.

2) Nutrition Related:
Stick to my spark eating plan (50/30/20) and go over allowed calories by no more than 450 (Roo's cals).

3) Personally Related:
Continue decluttering. Finding out that I couldn't sell ALL my used books to the bookstore gave me a "why bother attitude" that wasn't really warranted. Try, try again. Maybe Kijiji?

4) New-To-Me:
Sadly, I put on my "other goals" to walk Hughy every day and I haven't been. Next week, I will. Kick my butt if I don't.

    There's a bookstore in Heritage Plaza, where the London Drugs is, that takes pretty well everything. Only problem is that they won't give you cash but rather store credit. Better than nothing.
