The challenge runs from Friday to Monday and there are four possible components:
50 reps upper body ST
50 reps lower body ST
50 reps core work
50 minutes cardio
Points are awarded for each rep/cardio minute completed... with a maximum of 50 per category, per day. A bonus of 50 points will be earned daily if you max out all four components! Daily maximum is 250 and the overall challenge maximum is 1,000!
I set some goals for myself in the "Reviewing January" blog last week. I've been REALLY trying but, I have to admit, my mind's not completely into the nutrition half of this healthier lifestyle that I'm trying to lead. To review the past week:
*More days within calorie range. - 2/7 DAYS. I missed one (01/31) by 44 calories.
*More gym time. - I went to two classes at GoodLife and ran 3 times.
*More days with at least 5 servings of fruits and veggies. - 5/7 DAYS.
*More days with at least 8 glasses of water. - 7/7 DAYS!
All in all not a bad week but I still want to do better with calories and freggies.
I'm trying something new starting tonight. One of my friends, and former GL co-workers, is starting a class called "BURN". Twice a week for the next six weeks, I'm in Ali's hands. I'm a little scared LOL.

Her name is Belle and she is Roo's pony. She's a miniature horse so she won't get much bigger than she is right now. I'll have to have a photo taken with her this weekend so you can see the height. So cute and, yes, rideable.
I woke up this morning and wiggled out of bed to go get my breakfast and coffee before Roo took notice that I was missing. Luckily, she's a heavy sleeper because I don't wiggle so quietly anymore. Got it all done and settled before she popped her eyes open tho'. Score one for Mommy! I didn't even know she was awake until I turned and saw this:

I feel pretty good about things so far.
Tomorrow, I'm getting up and going to a class I haven't tried yet at my club: NewBody. ( I hope I don't fall on my head) Then I have to drop Hughy off at doggy daycare, go for a visit at my old work, hit Walmart for a few things and pick up my mother so that she can visit with the kids before we go to the farm for Grandpa's birthday (#85). We're coming back Saturday evening but boy-oh it seems like I have to pack a lot of stuff. I blame Roo
Hopefully, I can stay connected while I'm gone. I want to get a "perfect attendance" trophy for February. I blew my chances of getting one in January at the last minute.. GRR.
*EDITED* after I posted Logan called for me to pick him up at the basketball game he'd gone to. Everyone decided they wanted Blizzards. Since I squandered all my willpower at Costco this morning... I had a mini Oreo Cheesequake. SO not worth the 380 calories.
