Today is a lazy day. I woke up with a headache so I ditched my run. Then I found out a) it snowed and b) it was -29C with the wind chill. That's -20.2F
I'm thinking it is a good day to stay in bed & watch movies. Which is EXACTLY what I'm doing. I started with "the Blind Side". Now, I'm watching "the Help". Not sure what I'll watch next.
I probably won't get any points for exercise but I'll get my water and calories points for sure.
Tomorrow means back to Mommy/baby bootcamp. WOOT!

    Oh, I totally remember the days when my son was a sleepy newborn. I'd settle down with the laptop and the nursing pillow. I'd let my son sleep on the nursing pillow snuggled next to me while I relaxed and read the news on the computer. Ah, quiet days. Yes, definitely enjoy them!

    It was a wonderful day indeed. We also watched "Friends with Benefits". I agree, "the Help" was definitely not as good as the book.
As for Princess Roo, she's been in a weird mood. Eat, sleep, poop... not too much play. As long as we maintain closeness, she's okay with us doing nothing. I have to admit, she's a little bit boring right now. On the other hand, being allowed to be lazy is something I know won't last forever so I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.

    YAY!!! LOVE both those movies..though the book was better than the movie for Help.
hope your day went well...and HOW does Princess let you stay in bed watching movies??? just asking-my last few had to be up moving and shaking...UGH! I'm SOOO thankful to be out of those times...these that Daniel is in now are easy peasy to all that crying he did.

AKA, "well THAT'S different....
I've been saving the little pie charts from my daily reports and using them to tweak my eating. If I can't figure out what calories I need, I'm going to work towards giving it the percentages of carbs, protein and fats it requires. Yesterday, I tracked everything including the mini pig-out on Werther's chocolates that I had while writing an email to my ex-husband. (*mental note*, I'm an angry eater) Anyway, this morning I ran the report and got this breakdown of my 2,490 calories:

Admittedly, I know I overdid it on the chocolate but, other than those, I think I ate fairly reasonable so I was curious to find out what was up. Looking over the report, I realized that instead of entering in 2.5 for the amount of fat in one little chocolate (I enter all my own foods unless it's generic stuff), I typed in 25. Times seven... I've never seen my percentage for "fat" get that high. Here's the revised report/chart:

I'd say, despite the crazy amount of calories I consumed, this is much, MUCH better. Also, I no longer feel the need to throw away the remainder of the box of chocolates.

    I've done that before with serving units on the food tracker. Turns out 110 grams of carrots is a little different than 110 cups emoticon.

I love your way of tracking things here! I don't pay enough attention to the pie chart.

My challenge for the weekend

Food - Earn 1 point for tracking and an additional 1 point for staying in range
Exercise - Earn 1 point for every 30 minutes, up to 90 minutes per day
Water - Earn 1 point each day for 8 glasses of water

1 point daily bonus for doing all of the following:
* staying in range
* Minimum 30 minutes exercise
* 8 waters

An additional 5 points for anyone who earns their daily bonus point for each of the 4 days.

Alright, to recap the week since my last blog, I've been doing okay. Nutritionally, I've scored like this:
01/06 - 2072

01/07 - DID NOT TRACK - Started to but then Paul to me to his Grandmothers house for the day. Lots of baked goods and an awesome dinner. All enjoyed in blessed ignorance.
01/08 - 2326

01/09 - 2145

01/10 - 1971

01/11 - 1686

My fruit/veggie and water goals have been mostly met. Five out of six days for F/V and four out of six days for water. I have GOT to get better at hydrating.

On the plus side, last Thursday I went back to the gym. I went for a short walk on Friday, I took a "rest" day on Saturday because I was still VERY sore from Thursday. On Sunday, I went for a run. Monday, I did Mommy bootcamp. Tuesday and Wednesday were run days. In short, Spark's given me the warning about my calories two weeks in a row. I'm going to wait two more week's before I adjust the "calories out". That way I'll have an average that is an actual average not just wishful thinking.

I promise three things today: I *will* continue to blog at LEAST every other day. I *will* lose at least half a pound on my next weigh in. I *will* hit my goals for F/V and water every day until January 31.

2,068 Calories burned today, broken down like this:
I don't know why I didn't think of saving that picture and copy/pasting it before... that was SO easy!
I drank my water, ate my fruits and veggies and (prepare yourself for floods and locusts) went to the gym. I took an hour long BodyPump class and then, at the encouragement of my friend, the 30 minute Awesome Abs class. Sherri's the instructor. I'm always on the fence about how much I enjoy having the teacher know me. Sure, I get personalized encouragement but you sure do get encouraged a lot when they know you by name. emoticon
Tomorrow morning is BodyVive. It's a new class so I'm interested in knowing what it's all about.
