Day 29 - pluggin' on...

Received this note from Chatelaine magazine this morning.. "10 Eating Habits to Kick-Start Weightloss". Since I only lost 1/2 a pound last week, I thought I'd give it a look. Some of the hints make sense and I think I will try them but trying to curb my chocolate craving with fibre or lemon... I don't think my appetite is that stupid.
I'm posting the article for your perusal.

Tonight's a big night for me. My HM group's doing 3 hills and I'm going to attempt to do them, too. Hopefully, I'm physically ready.

Day 27 - Because Molly asked

The past couple days I've been pretty slack. Thursday and Saturday, I stopped tracking after lunch because my nutrition was so bad. (Chinese takeout and KFC) Friday, the nutritional choices were better but the portion control was not there.
No exercise on any of those days.
Water consumption was low.
ST was non-existent.
The only goal that I reached on any of the past few days was "get enough sleep". Actually, that one's probably the most important so maybe I should celebrate it and pledge to get back on track today/tomorrow.
The boys would like to go bowling. I wouldn't actually mind doing that and PEHASS2 could use the peace & quiet to study for his final exams this week.....
Decisions, decisions....

OH! Yesterday was Emily's one month birthday AND we took her to see Santa. Here are a couple pictures.

Day 24 - Where are they now?

I woke up a little late this morning and found that I'd eaten the last banana yesterday and neither Paul, nor I, had remembered to set up the coffee maker last night. I didn't realize how HUGE a part of my morning routine those two things are. Guess I'm going grocery shopping today.

Where are they now? I'm sitting here watching last night's Biggest Loser special. So far they've brought out Olivia, Ali and Jessie.. I'm a mess of tears. I *know* that losing 100 pounds in 6 weeks is NOT normal. I *know* that anyone who puts their mind to it (and gets locked up, fed and trained around the clock) for months at a time can lose weight.... it's still inspiring to see not only their success on the scale but (ESPECIALLY) their emotional successes. THAT'S what inspires me.

Anyway... my to-dos for today:
1) Get enough sleep. emoticon
2) Drink enough water.
3) 5+ fruits & veggies. emoticon
4) Track my food.
5) Move!
6) Do some ST.
7) Do a little straightening up - Paul's sister & her family are visiting Emily for the first time tonight and the dining room will need to have room for all 9 of us. emoticon
8) Grocery shop.

ETA - goal tracking @ 10:20 p.m. Thursday evening. Did not do too well on the goals today. Hopefully, tomorrow goes better.

Day 23 - Holy windstorm!!

Today's to-dos:
1) Get enough sleep. emoticon
2) Drink enough water. emoticon

3) 5+ fruits & veggies. emoticon

4) Track my food. emoticon

5) Move! emoticon Stroller group + HM training = 7+ kms
6) Do some ST.

MOVE - Got home from stroller group about an hour ago. We have a "wind warning" here in Calgary today. They are not kidding, pushing the stroller was great resistance work.
EAT - Made myself a chicken wrap for lunch - DELICIOUS! Now I have to go track my calories for the afternoon. The morning (Breakfast) was good. I'm trying desperately to get gold stars on my Spark summary calendar until the end of the month.
WEIGHT - I weighed myself before driving Logan school (7a.m.) and I'm still at the same weight I've been at for the last two weigh-in. Guess I have to move MORE and eat LESS to earn my weight-loss from here on out. Bummer!

Today's to-dos:

4) Track my food. emoticon I even stayed within my range
5) Move! emoticon I walked 3+ kms.
6) Do some ST emoticon I did 15 squats while holding Emily, then 15 baby presses AND I pushed her stroller during my walk.

Yay me!
