HEART (In honor of Valentine's and Cardio, plus Persevering)
H-HIBERNATE Get 6-8 Hours of sleep per night (Starting bedtime Friday night, ending morning time Monday morning)
E-EAT 4 Freggies a day
A- ATTEMPT A NEW TO YOU STRENGTH MOVE. The important thing is you have to report what the new ST move you attempted on your TEAM THREAD so we all get new ideas to try. Post these new moves either daily or cumulatively on Monday.
R-RACING...Get that heart rate up for 20 minutes (Minimum)
T-TOUCH Reach Out and TOUCH Someone... Spend time with family, with friends, go visit, make a phone call. Your voice is a gift to those that Love you.

1 pt max for each category - 5 pts per day

Complete ALL Phases in a single day receive a 5 point Bonus for that day.

MAX Points 10 points per day/3 days= 30 points

Ghosting

On Sunday, some of my fellow Dragons and friends are participating in the ING Miami. Following Mike's suggestion, I've decided that my Sunday morning long run will be spent "ghosting" the ING crew. John, Gail, Christy, Deej, Beth, Suezette and Nancy - This run's for you!! emoticon Now all I have to do is figure out what 21.1/7 is so that I can give you all equal time. emoticon

I just noticed that it's been ten days since my last blog. How'd that happen???
Anyway, things are going well, the scale was my friend this morning. My workouts have been consistent. My miles are getting higher and my long runs haven't been affected by added pit stops in a long time. I've been collecting gold stars on my calendar and I'm well on my way to getting at least 80% by the end of the month.

    Great blog Penny! I can just feel the energy coming through..it's so much fun to "ghost" and show support while at the same time, doing something pretty darn awesome for yourself..it's the Dragon way and I'm so glad you are a part of this experience!

    Penny, I love it! Have I told you I love having you be a dragon! Has it been a good experience for you? Have a great run on Sunday and I am planning on a good half - trying to break 2 hours. I have picked a flat route and the weather is supposed to be in the 40's and dry.

January so far...

2011 so far has been reminiscent of my first few months on spark. My enthusiasm is back & I've been inside my calorie range 12/16 days. Two of those four days outside of my range were by less than 50 calories. I'm even strength training on a fairly regular basis, thanks to my Dragon challenge.
Oh! and this makes my third year at my goal weight/range. emoticon emoticon

I just have to keep this momentum rolling...

Last chance workout

Tonight our BLC15 Dragon team had a little last chance workout of our own. Simple really, 30 minutes (or more) of cardio/intentional exercise. I'm happy to report that, with the help of my HM training group, I completed 37 minutes during our 5 km run tonight.

I'm still within my calorie range, too. Right on target for my goal of being there 5/7 days a week for January. In fact, I've only not been inside my calorie range twice since the new month began. Fruit, veggies and water are all on track, too.

Feels like a whole new me for this whole new year. Let's hope this reflects well in tomorrows weigh-in.

NEW Challenge - Day 4

N~Calorie range is 1560-1910 - I scored a perfect five on this today. Not only did I get my freggies for the day, I also drank all my water AND have calories left over. 16 of them. LOL
E~Exercise - 30 minutes of strength training doing Option 2 and 3 of the BLC15 gym program. 5 points again!
W~Wellness -Breakfast, lunch, dinner and three snacks. I even treated myself to a small piece of dark chocolate for no other reason (no emotion) than "just because" and I feel pretty good about how things went today. 5 points!

Total for the day 15 points.
