NEW Challenge

N~Nutrition Know your Calorie Range and Stay within it, include 5 Freggies/Day.
E~Exercise Get up and MOVE! Exercise a Minimum of 20 minutes Today.
W~Wellness JOURNAL~BLOG~LOG
Give yourself a Grade and Try to Beat that Tomorrow!
------------------------------
N~Calorie range is 1560-1910 Today is my non-calorie range day. I pledged not to exceed my range by more than 500 today and I am 2215 for the day. That includes popcorn and coffee crisp bites at the movie. (305+) It also included MORE than 5 Freggies.
E~Exercise - Option 2 of the BLC gym done - this is one of my two regularly scheduled rest days otherwise.
W~Wellness - I logged everything. I made healthy choices when I ate out (twice) today. My calorie intake may be over my "goal" but that was the plan and even with take out and movie snacks, I'm only 272 over. Considering that I've been planning this all week and created a 2000+ calorie deficit over that time... I'm golden.
My grade for me: B+

Thursday 50/50/50

Friday, January 07, 2011

My first weigh-in with the Dragons went well. I've lost three pounds since New Years and now I'll be working on moving closer to 126(ish). Since then, I've been within my calorie range EVERY SINGLE DAY. I'm so happy with myself. I haven't been this consistent since hit my goal weight six months after starting Spark. If I have, I can't remember.
I did a few strength exercises as part of the BLC15 and a few more as an additional challenge - 50 pushups, 50 crunches & 50 squats. My core/lower bod is going to despise me tomorrow. I think I'll wear my Ugalikes so I don't have to bend over to tie my shoes.

Billie, I've joined BLC15 on Spark and one of the teams, my team, is the "Jade Dragons". It's really cool, very challenging, very inspiring... I'm hoping to either maintain my weight and lose inches or (BONUS) lose a few of each. So far, I'm right on track.

Four days, four stars

Wednesday, January 05, 2011

Ok, the gold stars on my spark calendar are fast becoming my new "old" obsession. The good news is, we're four days into the month of January and I have four of them! I've tracked everything, exercised as planned and even stayed true to the plan on the weekend.
Tomorrow is my first official BLC15 Jade Dragon weigh in. I'm actually excited. Weirdness. I can't remember the last time I was excited about stepping on the scale. More good news.
Time for lights out. I promised myself a minimum of 6.5 hours of sleep a night and I'm going to get it!

Today's challenge brought to me by SEYSARAH

Monday, January 03, 2011

I have two kids, a significant other and myself... I've let the laundry PILE up.... today's challenge is to have it all washed, folded and put away before bedtime at 11:00. It's more than 7 but less than 10 loads so, with an HE washer & dryer, it should be a piece of cake. Right?

    Wow, you go Penny!

I love doing laundry, but apparently it's a mental illness. lol

I have to follow the Fly Lady to keep the rest of my house clean or I'd be in big trouble.

I'll be doing every dish in the sink (in the house?) between getting home and going to the gym tonight. Did we ALL let everything stack up over the last couple days????

I'm being forced to do laundry myself since Spark is malfunctioning today...it's so unfair! I have 5 loads and it's only 2 of us........

"I used to be fat"

Monday, January 03, 2011

Thanks to one of my LIC team members who mentioned this MTV show on her blog. I think I found a new show to watch & find inspiration. It follows overweight, graduating, high school students who are moving onto college and want to improve their health. Here's the link:

It's a really good show. Gabriella is super inspiring. She's got the 3 F's: Fierce, Fit and Fabulous. And she's funny, too.

Link away! Yeh, I was kind of irked, too. Ok - keep the teen away from the junk but give it to the little ones? Seems like the best way to repeat the cycle. I don't keep a lot of crap in my house. My mom always says there's "nothing to eat".

This is great. Thanks for the pointer to this. What irks me is that her mother is keeping food like that in the house for the six year old??!! Like the little kid is going to learn proper eating habits from someone who lays traps like that for her older sister? It is even *more* critical for the six year old to eat healthy food. Argh!

Anyways, thanks. I'm going to share this on my page too, if you don't mind.
