Not a great day...

2,186 calories consumed today....that's 446 too many. I burned 479 though so, theoretically, I still created a deficit BUT I'd rather not have eaten so much. Stupid chocolate chip muffin. They always know exactly what to say to get me to eat them. Then I went to the movie (G.I. Joe) and had fries with gravy. Resistance was futile.

Things I feel really good about today:
I went to the gym and did 45 minutes of strength training, 30 minutes of ab work and 10 minutes of (warm-up) cardio.
I ate 5 servings, maybe more, of fruits and vegetables.
I drank 2.25 L of water.
I went to bed at a decent hour and got up at 8:19 a.m. That means I got more than my goal of seven hours of sleep.
All in all, I'll give myself a silver star for this day. emoticon

    I am back to counting calories today. I have started my day counting calories at least 15 times in the past 4 week and never stuck with it more than 2 days. :-) I hope today it the start of a longer streak. You seem to be doing pretty good. Keep it up. gail

Six days and the end of a good week

I didn't get my seven hours of sleep on Thursday night but I have since then. I even snuck in a nap this afternoon. I've been good with the fruits and vegetables (water, too).
I ran over 30 kms overall. I went to BodyPump once but I never made it to the Awesome Abs class that I wanted to attend.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday were days were I went over my calories by 100-150. Having said that, I went over my calories burned goal by over 700. =) So I'm letting it go. This time.
Gotta round up the courage to step on the scale in the morning. Then I'm going to find some place that's open so I can have a mani/pedi and a brow waxing. I need a little "pamper me" time. Hopefully, I can sneak it in after Awesome Abs and before GI Joe LOL.
I swear, the closer I get to 40, the more energetic I'm feeling. I hope I can find an outlet for this or someone's going to be in trouble.

Tonight I took Hughy for a leisurely walk around the dogpark. He's been asleep since we got home. Probably means that I'm not going to get any....

They're so cute and innocent looking when they're sleeping.

    Awww, how cute is Hughy???? I love it when they crash....but when they wake out! I feel the same way about hitting the 50's-so much more energy. Don't think it's the age, it's the getting healthy. Tried to explain this to my son yesterday. You won't be so tired if you start taking yourself and get healthy! Why isn't we can't get that fact until a little later in life? Good job on having a great week. To quote Wood "Life is good!"

day three of the thirty day challenge AND I did it successfully. Again, I had 7ish hours sleep last night, stayed within calories and did a 7km run. I think I'm officially back on track. Now all I need to do is make it through the long weekend.

Running 4x a week - Ran 7.8 kms (6 hills) in 59:59

**disclaimer** I'm going out of town this Friday and will be back on Saturday evening so I'll miss BP and AA this week... unless I can find it somewhere else on a different day.

    good luck with your challenge. I am back to charting. 1900 - 2000 cal per day. So far I have stayed in range for 2 days and my food choices have not been the best. have a great weekend.
