I'm really starting to miss my morning classes. And I haven't been to an evening class all week. I'm bummed. BUT I've been running like I'm supposed to and my calories have been good so I'll focus on that for now.

Back to work tomorrow!

Ok, I have this one really bad habit. I DON'T track my food when I'm at Richard's house. This usually means that I eat like a crazy person and gain five pounds the week that the boys are at their father's house... I'm so not looking forward to tomorrow's weigh in.

The plan for the remainder of this week was:
Friday - Awesome Abs + BodyPump - DONE
Saturday - bike ride (time and distance TBD) - NOT DONE
Sunday - 7 km run - DONE (48 mins)

Friday and Sunday, I did what I said I was going to do. I had added BodyFlow to my daytimer for Sunday and Awesome Abs for Sunday and I didn't go to the classes. I didn't do my bike ride either. I'll schedule it all for this coming week. See what happens.

Tomorrow begins my 5% challenge. The deal is: 5% of my body weight in 10 weeks. That brings me up to Labour Day. I'll post my goal, change my ticker and such like that there tomorrow morning. Hopefully, this time, I can make it work. I've got a side bet with Richard that I can give up ice cream for longer than he can give up beer. I don't know what my prize will be when I win but it better be good. That's like 70 days w/o ice creamy goodness in the summertime!!! Wish me luck on that one.

Plan for the week of June 29 - July 5th:
Monday - BodyAttack
Tuesday - Run 4 kms
Wednesday - Run 3 kms & BodyFlow
Thursday - Run 4 kms
Friday - BodyPump
Saturday - Awesome Abs
Sunday - Run 7 kms and (possibly) BodyFlow

Let's see how this goes after working 7:30 - 4:00 M, T, Th, F.

For no good reason whatsoever, I'm putting a pic of Richard and the bike in this blog.....

    Penny-summer is tough! And so is fall, winter and spring! I have trouble on the weekends because of friends and family gatherings. I am with you on eating a little too much. (One reason I keep doing these races on the weekends!) I still try and track-hard to do when you are not sure of calories from different local eateries. I just always add extra on the calories given and if too high I eat a little lower the next day. My best advice is I exercise before everything starts for the day on weekends (can't do that on week days). But on weekends if I do it early then it's done for the day and I am free! Good luck on your plan-I am sure you will do great!

Another successful day

I did my BodyFlow class and 4km run that I planned today.
I stayed within my calories. AND I drank all my water!! whoohoo!!!
My goal for tonight is 7 hours of sleep. I guess that means I'd better get my butt off the couch and go to bed.
Tomorrow's my last day at GL. I have a feeling that it's going to be a long and emotional one.

My blog went POOF!

I started to write about this on Sunday evening and then the WWW stole my entry. I was so miffed that I had to wait til I cooled off to try again. And then I forgot that I wanted to write down some thoughts.

The "plan my fitness" plan is going well. Last week (Friday, Saturday) went the way that it was supposed to. On Friday, I did the Awesome Abs and BodyPump classes that I planned on attending. Then on Saturday, I took the kids to the amusement park so we'll call that "active rest". The staying within calories.... yeh - KABOOM! Sunday wasn't in my schedule but, I did a 10 km run with Richard and his LTR clinic. I finished in 1:03. It wasn't my best time but I had a good time.

But that was then.... this is now, right?

On Monday, I wrote in my daytimer "Goal: Schedule my fitness." This week now looks like this:
Monday - off
Tuesday - Awesome Abs + Run 4 kms
Wednesday - Run 3 kms
Thursday - BodyFlow + Run 4 kms
Friday - Awesome Abs + BodyPump
Saturday - bike ride (time and distance TBD)
Sunday - 7 km run

So far, I'm right on track. I am, on average, within my calorie range but that's only because on Tuesday I was low-ish. ANYway, I have four more days to go.

MONDAY of next week, I start work full-time in an office setting again. Yes, that means that I will no longer be a Personal Trainer. I have to put it on hold but I will be keeping up my training/certifications so that I can make the career change again when the timing is better. Right now I have to focus on my family and the unsteady income is not good for us. *bonuses* guaranteed 7:30 to 4:00 work days, salaried pay cheques, medical benefits, paid vacation. All very good things. The only downside is that I had to buy a gym membership and now have to actually MAKE time for me to go. Should be a piece of cake. =) Mmmm, cake.

    Cake is good.

Sorry to hear that you're not a PT anymore, but you have it in your back pocket as insurance... Maybe it's just me but I find having structured hours a lot easier to plan around. I need the rhythm of a routine, and that makes scheduling things like hitting the gym a lot easier.

Okay, how did I miss reporting in on Wednesday? Well, now I have more to talk about, I suppose...

The plan:
Wednesday - BodyPump and Run 3 kms
Thursday - BodyFlow & Run 4 kms

Yesterday, my calories were @ 1770/1830 so I did okay there. I also got plenty of fruit, vegetables and water. I attended BodyPump and ran 3.4 kms. It was a good day.
Today, my calories are at 1891/1830. I only had two servings of fruit. NO vegetables. I cannot believe I did that...... I DID drink my water. Unfortunately, I didn't make it to Flow class. I had a client and, wouldn't you know it, she actually showed up for her appointment =) On a good note, I went out for my 4km run tonight. It was really nice to run with my HMC members. I thought for sure the thunder/lightning/rain was going to keep us off the pathway but the sun came out just in time. YAY!
Tomorrow is a non-running day but I am planning on doing some strength-training.
The weekend includes a major clean-up session, a trip to the local amusement park, a 10km race AND a BBQ. I can't wait to weigh in on Monday. LOL.
