Three days in...

Ok so it's now Wednesday and, so far, this week has not been stellar. I have been on my water (of all things) for two days. Technically, I hit on Monday but I should have had more in preparation for my Tuesday run. I hit my goal (6) for F&V on Monday as well but Tuesday, I didn't come close. Four servings. Bleh. And two of them were on my pizza. So I broke another rule: I had fast food.
Todays game plan is to get it all back on track. LOL, isn't it always? One day at a time, one meal at a time (who's sparksig did I see that on??) that's how I'm addressing this journey from now on.

Thankfully, I AM on track with my exercise this week.

  Its only mid week, you still have time! Just promise yourself no more rule breaking and and keep it up with the water and fruits and veggies :)

I've started keeping what my co-workers call my fruit bowl on my desk at work, I bring all my apples, pears etc to work on Monday so all I have to do is reach over and grab one all week long. Right now a red pear is looking delicious....I might just have to eat it :)

Just a little "boom"

Had a little boom tonight. I REALLY couldn't fight off my sushi craving. Sparks says 194 calories and then I had my ice cream sandwich (FINALLY) which takes me 292 over. Thankfully, I worked most of that off on the treadmill tonight.

Daily report -
Today, I consumed 1992 calories.
I burned 124 calories on the treadmill.
I scored 12/6 for fruit and veggies.
I got a 10/8 for water.

I'll be back at it tomorrow. I have all my meals are planned. My only "unknown" is the stir fry that Richard and I are going to make for supper. I don't know what he'll buy to put into it or even if it's going to be beef or chicken yet. We've already planned a post meal walk with Hughy, too. I'm taking him with because he doesn't want him to be alone while I'm gone. The rest of the weekend is devoted to quality time and I cannot wait. One of these days I'm going to have to tell him how head over heels for him I am for him. emoticon

  Sounds like you have a wonderful plan! Your little calorie overage doesn't sound bad at all, I so wish I could eat sushi! Way to go on the fruits and veggies!

Given that its a stirfry you should be in good shape to go with whatever he brings along, sounds tasty! Yay for a weekend of quality time, you deserve it :)

PS I know you are bringing some whoop a## to Monday's weigh in, its what will keep me on track back home this weekend!

    Nothing that you can't make up for. I've been thinking about sushi lately - it's definitely one of my weaknesses because I can eat a ridiculous amount... I'm working on it!
Sounds like you a have a GREAT weekend ahead of you! I hope you enjoy every minute of it, even if you can't count all calories exactly or go over by a little!

I stepped on the scale this morning. Considering I'm hosting a party for Mother Nature this week, I thought that I'd GAIN weight. I weighed in on Monday with my group and I was at 127 and today, I'm at 125. I've lost 2 pounds!! Now I really have the motivation to keep at it. emoticon

Hello April!!

Go ahead, ask me how my day was. Ok, so I woke up at 10 minutes to six and thought "my first appt. is at 8:30, I'm going back to sleep until 7:20". When I woke up at 7:20, my first thought was "NO, my first appt's @ 7:30". Believe it or not, I was at work on time. It was impressive, if I do say so myself.
After GL, I headed over to KF for a few hours. That was good, actually. I'm really liking being there this time. I feel appreciated. On the way home, I stopped at the 7-11 to have my lottery ticket checked. I matched 3 numbers on the Extra and won $50. I reinvested $10 and kept the rest for "fun".

Tonight's run was 9 Hills. It took me a little over an hour and ended up being over 10 kms. Considering how much uphill there was in the route, I'll take that time and enjoy it. Especially since I did it with ZERO pain.

Daily report -
Today, I consumed 1715 calories. (even with TWO treats, neither of them my ice cream sandwich)
I burned 594 calories doing a 1:11:08 hill (9) run that had a total distance of 10.13 kms.
I scored 8/6 for fruit and veggies.
I got a 8/8 for water.

That's day three!!! Hello willpower. Good to have you back :~)

March Be Gone - March 31st , 2009

March ended on a really good note. I've had two calorie days in a row that I can be proud of PLUS, I've already done enough cardio this week to BURN 1283 calories. My goal is 1800 a week.
Other good things that happened in March:
My goal of 60 miles per month - I achieved 60.52 miles!
I celebrated 5 years of being a runner on the 27th emoticon
I went back to work (casually) at KF thereby eliminating some of my financial stress.
BAD things about March:
I gained weight and now have to lose 8 pounds to make my 5% goal
My latest and last pair of Nike Perseus are dying and I have yet to find a good replacement shoe.
I had only three days that I achieved my calorie goals.
But enough about that... it's in the past and I cannot change anything about it now.
Today, I consumed 1779 calories.
I burned 279 during my 4.68 km run with Hughy. It took us 30 minutes. He's got to learn how to read his "mail" a lot faster.
I scored 8/6 for fruit and veggies.
I got a 8/8 for water.

I hope April is as much of a success as these past two days have been. I also hope that I can someday fit my mini ice cream sandwiches into my day. They're only 100 cals but I seem to enjoy everything else too much to save room. LOL. Poor me.

    I wish you luck for this new and bright month that is ahead of you!
I was naive this morning and thought it'd be a beautiful spring day... until I went outside and saw it was snowing - again! Quite the surprise... April Fool's weather on us? Hopefully your wish will be heard and winter will finally go away :)

  Yay! It sounds like you ended March on a very strong note and are looking forward to success in April :) My goal is to burn 1800 cals a week with cardio too seems like an achievable number.

Your little 100 cal ice cream sandwiches are just like my 100 cal soynut butter on a cracker obsession, lol, if I want it bad enough I will make room for it :)
